I decided not to include Obduction in my library even if it is free, as it would only be clutter. I know I am not interested in anything by Cyan since Myst included, and the size and requirements are redunculous. Who else is not accepting this gift and why?
Do you tend to accept any giveaway or only those that you really want to play?
My library is enormous and gargantuan so one more isn't gonna make a difference so I take all the freebies that I can even if I know I'll most likely not get around to playing it. I don't hide games or delete them from the library either.

So my advice: just accept the gift.
I'm not anal about my collection list or whatever, so bring on the freebies.

Why should that matter? You don't have to download it even if you have it in your library. You can even hide it so that you don't see it in the library.
Not interested in the game, so I'm not taking it...but I wouldn't be able to anyway because GOG's website is a broken mess.

If I would play it to try it out I would have to download it, and my scarce interest in it is even reduced by its humongous size. Even if I hid it, it would be clutter among the other hidden games.
I was only asking who else is not taking it, if you want to keep the freebie and never play it you do you.

Neither am I, as I am not about accumulating useless things.

You just need to be logged in and click on the Get it free button on the home page.

I wouln't include a game just because it was free. If I was certain I was never gonna play it, I wouldn't see the point in adding it to the collection. Free Yiik? Nope. Etc.

At first I thought that Yiik was some slag for "useless stuff". Then I looked up the game on Steam. I can live without that either.
low rated
Well,I took it and even made a thread thanking Gog and I think the amazing number of 2 other users thanking Gog for the freebie. And it goes to show how ignorant the snatch and grab mob in here are or just take it for granted and can't even be polite and thank Gog and yet they say how this place is full of nice people.Well,so called good people would it break something by saying thanks Gog.

I think 'yiik' would work perfectly well as a synonym for 'useless stuff' :)
I'll accept a free game that I'll never download or play, provided it's DRM-free (and I don't have to do extra work, like making an extra account, to claim it).

I consider DRM-encumbered games to have negative value, and therefore I consider free to be too expensive a price for such games.

(Also, it's worth noting that, since DRM-encumbered games have negative value, the combination of a DRM-free copy and a steam key for a game is worth less to me than the DRM-free copy would be alone.)

Like a said already, the website is a broken mess for me.
I don't grab stuff just because it's free. I don't like Myst so I gave Obduction a pass. Why clutter my library with stuff I don't want and then go through additional steps to hide it essentially restoring the state of affairs before adding it in the first place?
You may not be interested in a game now but you can change your mind later, that's why I always take the freebies.

I still haven't played "Shadow Warrior 2" but why would I spend money for a game that I can add to my backlog for free ? I'll play it when I feel like it, might be in 6 months or a year but who cares... it's free !
I never know how I'll feel next month or next year. Maybe I'll get into a P&C adventure mode or discover a game I'm not interested today has features or story I REALLY want to experience. I'd be daft not to take a free game just because today, I don't feel like playing it.
