I relate to you, Ralph. When I hit bottom, I was crushing man's skull like sparrow's egg, between my thighs... and I think, why you have to be so bad, Zangief? Why can't you be more like good guy? Then I have moment of clarity... if Zangief is good guy, who will crush man's skull like sparrow's eggs between thighs? And I say, Zangief you are bad guy, but this does not mean you are bad guy.

Well I really liked how they portrayed Nazis. As for the communists the developers decided to portray them as insanely evil and cunning thugs with no moral barriers (needed exaggeration to better show my frustration). I don't think that spoiling the plot for a few users here is a good thing to do though.

Again they had to make some groups seem very bad in some way, and if it's in the book then maybe they tried for accuracy to source materials as well?

Also they needed some bad people to break up fighting monsters all the time(imo).

Haven't read the books, my trusty friend did. And he was enraged about depiction of that group, he mentioned how it was done according to their own direction, not really by the book. I told him to calm down, that they are not so bad, that he is just exaggerating things. And when I played a few hours more I was enraged too (and I don't know what was in the books so you may assume how bad things were for me), I raced toward that frigging son of "commune" to kill the bastard, but the game interpret it as saving him. I nearly broke my keyboard, reload last save and killed him, I don't care about good ending, I had to kill him, lying two-faced scumbag!

Are you talking about the other games? Because that's not how the first one(I was talking about) ends. :\
