Hi I just found this site through a Steam comment and people saying how buggy Steam games are. The topic was Freedom Force which they have on it, how much people are have bug and compatibility issues. Anyways someone mentioned they had a clean version at Gog.com. Where is it? Did they take it off the site? Anyways this site looks awesome. I'll be buying my PC games here if all go's well...

GOG did have the sequel, Freedom Force vs. The 3rd Reich, before it was removed, I guess for licensing reasons. GOG has never hosted the first game, and unfortunately, this is one of those games that modern PCs really do not handle well and require a much more fundamental recode to get working. Simple ACT fixes and hacks won't do for this one sadly.
Hmm ok thanks for the info
I got #1 working great on mine but I did get it through GamersGate. If it ever comes here I'm dumping that copy for a GOG one.

Welcome to the forum BobbyMcB. :D
I have both on Steam but can only vouch for Freedom Force vs The 3rd Reich playing fine for me back when I did. (was before Windows 10 though)
Freedom Force is one of those games that I thought that I had fixed to play on modern systems, but I was mistaken. I still have the attack icon cursor bug show up from time to time and haven't found a proper work around to fix it. The game has some serious issues with sound as well as the above mentioned fist icon bug. I might take a look at it again sometime soon, but have mostly given up on it as nothing seems to be a genuine fix.

Freedom Force... yeah, super-fun game, and the atmosphere of the game world was a fun place to be. I'd snatch up that sucker that moment it arrived here.

Well, it's kind of a crapshoot. I've run it on three computers (XP, Vista, and Windows 7) and if it didn't work right away, it usually ran after applying the patches fiddling with compatibility settings.
2K Games owns Freedom Force. One of the few major publishers GOG currently doesn't have a deal with. Thus, it got taken off GOG.

Perhaps one day, 2K will give GOG a chance :)

Welcome BobbyMcB!

I had Freedom Force on my wishlist here prior to it being taken down. I hope it returns at some point. I played the first one when it was released and have never had a chance to plat the second offering - although it looked cool trying to take down the 3rd Reich.

Oh well, one can only hope it comes here eventually.

*sees a thread about something called Freedom*

*thinks "yeah we need that game here already"*

*upon entering, he sees that this thread is about a whole different game*

*well, he can't miss the chance to hijack the thread, can't he*

*before leaving, he drops a message that reads "LOSE THAT LEGAL GIMMICKY AND BRING US FREEDOM FIGHTERS ALREADY"*

*he departs the scene, hopefully without leaving a trace*

Freedom Fighters is an awesome fucking game and this isn't a derail because I worship both these titles.

Okay I have no idea what that meant. :P
I also came into this thread thinking Freedom Fighters. great game.

way better than Hitman.

I respect the Hitman games but when I played them myself I quit out in the tutorial when they make you poison secretary chick. so I've only watched them played for the most part.
