Wow--thanks for all the great responses! The more we talk about these the more I remember the games--and yes, they are relaxing--for a nice change of pace every once and awhile! I remembered today one game which had a really cool follow mode for the camera focused on the ball--you'd make your swing and hit the ball and the camera would fly right along with the ball in flight--golf-ball's eye view--until the ball hit the fairway/green and rolled to a stop...;) Can't recall which game that was, though. Lots of fun.

Eh. I never cared much about regular golf games. Those arcadey mini-golf games were much more fun.

Dangerous Golf is great but they really screwed people on control options. Basically an XBox controller or nothing though I have seen some people talking about patches in there.

I just did over $40,000 of damage in a dining room, got a platinum medal.

To me the images on GOG's game pages are often oversaturated. (I don't shop for games anywhere else.) Not to say the games themselves don't look the same, they probably do. But I usually use a filter to reduce saturation of images when browsing the WWW in general, so I've likely gotten to thinking everything is that way. And I also reduce opacity on them, too.

The only golf related game i enjoyed was "Sid meier's Sim Golf". Very relaxing sim. :)

Yes please! I remember playing a number of different golf games in the 80s & 90s and loved it! Not too much of the hokey mini-golf games, mostly the straight up easy-to-play difficult-to-master golf games.
