My life would be so much better without my computer, id have to go outside and do stuff and generally get some exercise, I am getting very unfit lately, Ironically im still a skinny bastard.
My life would be kind of different. Right now I have my own cybercafe, an online store and from time to time I do Tech Support. Without computers that would dissapear. But I always been a tinker head. I like to build, modify and repair stuff so maybe I would do something similar. A repair shop maybe.
About entertainment and education, I would be fine I guess. For 15 years of my life I didnt computer or Internet and I got by. There are books. movies, board games, comics.
Maybe I would have more time to exercise and socialize in real life,

Reever: More time to read (useful things, unlike these forums :P) and study :D

AlKim: You would need the time to study, though, wouldn't you? Without the Internet, finding, storing and sorting information is a massive pain in the ass.
Well, that's the other side of the coin. But like the people who did it before the internet era, I guess I would manage too (although it would take more time, I reckon in total I'd still have more time xD)

But ah well, discipline is the key word here. Just have to acquire it. And fast :D

Marzooker: What would you do with your time? Would your life be better or worse? Explain.
Being failrly close to the half century mark, well before the advent of the "Desktop PC" or modern computer I would probably gamble, smoke and drink more :P Today, life without my PC would really suck.
Without a computer I would miss Dr. Who, but life would go on. I think I would just go back to reading more, have to buy a newspaper every day.
I also know my University studies would suffer as I need my computer to do computer studies.
No games! Gasp! (insert dying sounds).

Actually I can game without a PC but it isn't as good.
Hmm without a computer. I would probably have a better job by now and maybe a girlfriend again if I wasnt online so much because of my gaming, news surfing, and message board reading. Or I might be holed up in my room working on my backlog of games dating back to the snes, genesis days to current PS3 and XBOX 360 games =P

If you're blaming your lack of girlfriend on this you either have high standards or are just making excuses, there's no end of women who'd happily sit there eating Doritos and killing some shit in Diablo 3 with you. They don't look like the super models and trophy wives down at the gym, but if you want one of those chicks you might consider taking up weightlifting instead (I'm not implying that all gamer girls, or guys for that matter, are ugly, I'm simply stating that people who spend mad hours at the gym are more likely to take a deep interest in their physical appearance and thus odds of being abnormally attractive go way up).

I.E. if you want a girlfriend go get one. If you have a repulsive personality flaw, fix it, then go get one.

Actually I do have somewhat high standards and I'm definitely not repulsive looking, I'm somewhat good at flirting with very good looking women just bad at the execution of going about asking them out which is because I'm at work and have to be very careful. Gamergirls are great, however I don't meet too many of them, the last one I was friends with had no interest in me. As for gym weightlifting is not my thing at all, I don't want to look like some uber grotesque women with lots of muscles =P

I probably have a bit of a personality problem as i am very cynical of life. I've had a bad past relationship which probably accounts to it somewhat. The whole Doritos bit was funny, unfortunatly I can't have junk food like that anymore do to severe stomach acid problems I get from certain foods.

Just wanted to note, hitting the free weights doesn't usually mean women turn into the she-hulk (that takes some serious doing), about the worst thing that can happen is they end up with better shoulders than the average guy and get better tooshies from squats. All in all, fair trade, imo, but not for everyone.
I would have a lot more free time but I would have a much more boring life (in the beginning at least) not to mention inconvenient. This kind of question can be asked differently like are we supposed to assume the computer disappeared, we never had it it in the first place or we're not allowed because of X or Y reason? :P

Yeah man, console gaming sucks!

(I was trying to be funny - you see I think you actually meant that you can play board games or P&P RPGs or something but I chose to blame it on consoles and... yeah, I suck at humor)

Exactly, those details matter. For example my life without a computer would be short because I'd get one within a few hours.

LOL. I got the joke ;)

(I didn't intend my post to be read as referring to board games or P&P RPGs. When I said "isn't as good" I meant that I could still play console but all my current consoles are outdated. (Any recent games I buy are PC). So yeah - if I didn't have a PC, I guess I'd go and buy a PS3).

Aaaah, please, don't remind me! I was doing so well not thinking about it. I should've gotten a PS3 this Monday but because of a phone bitch I'm not sure I'll ever get it now.

Actually I know a few gaming girls who do. And I don't mean like "they have played the Sims on a Nintendo DS a few years ago". I'm talking about real full-time gamers, the whole nerd package included, girls you could probably pick up online. In fact at least one of them has done model work professionally, I think actually two of them.

Ahh sorry. (I'd only buy a PS3 if I didn't have a PC for gaming. Personally I would prefer PC over PS3 given the choice...)
