I'm kindda disappointed at the fact that we are getting no Witcher 3 deal for this Black Friday. I was hoping to get it today but I see it's still almost $30. It's almost half that price on steam. I've always liked to support GOG but unfortunately I see I will have to get it on steam, the company that didn't even create the game!
Or you could wait a few weeks for the christmas sale and see if it gets a discount then?

Will think about it throughout the day.

Wasn't it discounted just before that too in their anniversary sale or something? Unfortunately a bad timing if missed both of those opportunities. Luckily new sale should be around the corner again if one would like to get it here.
It's curious though that Steam and Origin do have a Witcher 3 sale. I'm not encouraging the OP to buy from there though... just stating the obvious.

I'm waiting for The Expansion Pass to be discounted. What's the point of having one and then essentially making us buy a Game of the Year edition instead?!

Why not? A game is a game. Oh but DRM! Boohoo!

It's DRM free on steam also... but you can't download the installer separately.

Yeah but thats not the GOTY edition is it? If you dont own the base game by now the GOTY edition is the one you should be looking for>

This coming from a guy that just discovered TW3 a couple months before the GOTY came out. I owned the base game on Steam and then found GOG and ended up buying the GOTY edition on sale here because it was almost as cheap as the season pass anyway.

Good luck.

There was a recent sale one or two weeks ago and there will be another sale in one or two weeks. If you can wait a little bit you can actually support GOG. This time of the year sales come more often.

In general there are days when Witcher 3 is cheaper on GOG than on Steam and days where it is the other way around. So if you need to buy it today and if you do not mind DRM, buy it on Steam today. Bad luck for GOG then.

Black Friday isn't really a special day, or is it?
As pointed out by fellow community members, TW3 was included in our Monstrous Fall Sale a few weeks back. Personally, I'd say wait and see what's in store. Ya' know, Christmas is just round the corner, and December is very much the time when miracles do indeed happen.... :)

How about the miracle of getting the much simpler installer for those of us with the game plus expansion pass? I still have multiple layers of install to do for this game to reinstall it, where as people who didn't support the game during development or at release get a shiny all-in-one installer that's very much simpler to use.

If you wish for it hard enough, maybe that too will happen.

I do believe in miracles! That's it, I'm sold. Waiting for the next couple of weeks...
