Siannah: A 4-Disc Final Fantasy 6 Album from OC ReMix - FF6 musical score remix. Important to know: it will be free to download for everyone upon completion. And is already overfunded with 20 days left to go - so why bother to pledge? LEPC - Limited Edition Physical Copies.
nijuu: "Sorry, this project is no longer available." ?
Really no idea what happened here - you can actually still see the kickstarter video on their webpage at ocremix.org/.
A documentary film about the marijuana prohibition. It is the sequel to the 2007 documentary "The Union: The Business of Getting High", which you can watch for free on YouTube:
To quote: Skyjacker is a first-person free-roaming space combat game...
Don't tell me you never loved Elite and the like... , so at least take a look if you haven't. There is even a demo.
I don't get why it isn't doing better. I mean lot of projects have far less to show and made their funding goals easily. Project needs a miracle now as there's 20 hours to go and 80,000$ is still needed. :-/

Agreed - I've upped my pledge on this. It's had a fair amount of media coverage too, though mainly from gaming sites and the project authors seem to have done everything possible (improving rewards - they're now offering a soundtrack download even if the project fails to meet its target , supporting other projects, offering a demo).
Perhaps there's just not enough pent-up demand for space sims - not unreasonable given the current choice, including free ones like Pioneer and Oolite.
Hilarious! "Pledge $131,071 or more Your 3D genitals will be constantly spinning on the screen during playing 3D accelerated games on unregistered dosbox versions! "
This could have an element of sour-grapes to it, given the problems Pandora (a currently available open console) had but at the same time, what happened to them could also happen to Ouya. I do wonder now if Ouya might be setting itself up for a spectacular crash-and-burn.

There are in fact quite a lot of those articles now:
Just had a reply from CreAction Interactive about Auravym stating that they will make it available as a (DRM-free) download from their own website as well as through Steam.
lowyhong: Plonking these here first for reference later...
Gettysburg and Helsvakt Horde look quite interesting. It does seem that RPG-related projects are hard to find on KS - they can come under books or boardgames when they really should have a separate category.
Well, Skyjacker kickstarter failed. I did not really get the usual pledge rush in the end for some reason. They now plan to cut the remaining development into phases and run separate kickstarter campaigns for each phase to fund them.

Well, there have been number of succesfull space sim/shooters/adventures that did not have the trouble Skyjacker had and most of them had far less to show about the game than Skyjacker (actually Skyjacker had more than most video game kickstarters do in general). Skyjacker even had far more media attemption than most other projects. And it failed despite all that. Have kickstarter pledge fewer died down or something (not if you consider Ouya pledges)?
I think that in general providing a demo on a Kickstarter project is a mistake. The projects work a lot better when the backers use their rosy imaginations to see what they game will be like.

That is what I meant about current choice - the early birds like FTL did great but later ones like Kinetic Void scraped it (and Torchships failed).
