haydenaurion: Alright, I was kind of forced to use a "motivation meme" for this next one as it was the best image I could find that contained this scene. This one should be easy and I think some GOG members sometimes have this image in their heads whenever a really good game is released on GOG but they don't have the cash to grab it at the moment.
AFnord: Can you believe that this was actually marketed as a childrens game? This game is more complex than most games targeted towards an older audience.
Could that beu Europe Universalis 1? It has a definite paradox vibe.

It is not EU1. EU1 was graphically near identical to EU2, to the point that you can't really tell them apart from screenshots. I can see why you thought it was that game though

I think it is indeed a paradox game, but more focussed than EU

wait... I know this one... it is a universalis... crown something...
edit: just checked... crown of the north
edit 2: though I must admit I used Google to get the full correct name :( shame on me...

I find the line "You were promoted to the Coward" particularly hilarious.......

makes you kinda wonder what the previous rank was called...

"Two thrones" is the name that comes to my mind.
Two thrones looks deceptively similar. The only difference between Crown of the north & Two Thrones is the map (and thus the countries that are represented). Crown of the north deals with the Scandinavian countries, while Two Thrones deals with England (and its surrounding) and France.

Correct! Crown of the north, Europa Universalis: Crown of the north and Svea Rike 3 are all names that this rather unimportant game has. It is a decent enough game, but EU2 is far better.

It might not sound like much of a promotion, but it is better than the title that he had before he became a coward ;)
