Okay so I have been looking at a new game to purchase, and seeing as newer games are becoming worse and worse, classics is what I am looking at, so I am looking at a RPG game, with a good story and mechanics, that provides a good amount of hours playtime.
What could you suggest to me, I like games like Diablo, Skyrim and Fallout, what would be best?

Thanks!
Icewind Dale or Baldurs Gate.

I prefer IWD but it is the more battle oriented of the two. You have to have some brains to succeed at BG.
Have you tried Betrayal at Krondor??An oldie but,a great game.
Adventure,Action,Strategy,RPG all rolled into one with a story on the side....

When you say Fallout, do you mean 1+2 or 3+NV? The reason I ask is because games like Diablo, Skyrim, and Fallout 3+NV are more action/FPS roleplaying games than "classic" RPGs like the first two Fallout games, Baldur's Gate, Torment, etc. If you're used to/expecting things to play more like an action/FPS RPG it takes a little getting used to other more RP heavy RPGs and their systems. It's not hard to get used to/learn, it is just different and you shouldn't go into a bunch of the classics "expecting" to know how they play/to play them. If what you want is more in line with action/FPS RPGs, you will get one list of recommendations. If you want more "classic" RPG suggestions, that will get you another list. If you are open to both, of course it will be a bigger list.
Divine Divinity. It's a phenomenal game, plays very much like Diablo (in terms of combat), but with much more actual RPG mechanics, dialogues, characters, open world, freedom in leveling up and choosing skills. Want a warrior who throws fireballs and picks locks? You've got it. Can't open a chest yet? Take it with you. Insulted someone? They'll remember. Talked with them in a polite manner? They'll remember.

And don't forget to kill Ortho's pig. He likes it when you do that. :D
Ultima 7: the Black Gate ! Oldie but truly enjoyable thanks to Exult, be sure to check it out.
For RPG-lite filled with cleverness and charm, I fully recommend Driftmoon: http://www.gog.com/game/driftmoon
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. Hadn't played it in a while. Grabbed it on GOG. Having a blast playing as the reborn Revan. If you like Star Wars and RPGs, it's kinda hard to beat the KOTOR series. And if not, at least it's something different than elves and wizards stuff.

If you like Diablo try Torchlight.

Daggerfall. It will take some setting up, but it's free and is a great game.
Divine divinity.
Divinity : Original Sin
Sacrifice - it's not an RPG, but you'll love it .
