1 sets the story of Blair as a nugget on the TCS Tiger's Claw and 2 should will make you understand 3 and 4 a lot better.

Outcast, because it has perfect pacing and atmosphere for a marathon. Not too serious, not too difficult, go where you want when you want in a large but not impossibly huge world. And it's great for many other reasons.
