I really like the American and French cinema of these years. But I'm not a big expert. What do you think about this?

Good pics. The Princess Bride and Blade Runner are my all time favorites.

In fact, the 80s are by far my favorite decade for movies, so it's a loooong list for me.
Excalibur
The Indiana Jones trilogy
the Star Trek movies of the 80s, most of all The Wrath of Khan
Henry V (the Kenneth Branagh film)
The Labyrinth
Highlander
Conan the Barbarian
The Last Starfighter
the Mad Max trilogy
Aliens
Predator
Ghostbusters
pretty much anything John Carpenter made, but especially The Fog, Starman, Prince of Darkness and In the Mouth of Madness (that last one is from the 90s)
kid adventure films like Monster Squad, Goonies, Explorers, Flight of the Navigator
pretty much anything by Michael Mann, most of all Manhunter, but also Thief, The Keep and Last of the Mohicans (that last one from the 90s)
Adventure in Babysitting
The 'Burbs
TRON
Tim Burton's Batman
Disney had some its best and most underrated films in the 80s, like the Black Cauldron and The Great Mouse Detective

That's not a complete list, but it will do for now.

they have no gameplay so at least they dont age as bad as games
best is they have nice girls and no lame strong women agenda + diversity

The Star Trek films. Though it's OK to skip the first one if you really want to. Ignore the "some are better than others". Everyone has different preferences and all have merits.

Willow is probably the best fantasy film ever done.

Clue is my personal pick for the greatest movie of all time.

Rats of Nimh and the other Don Bluth animations (particularly Titan A.E.)

Keeping a couple that I want to reiterate for just how good they are. I'd add Frailty, but that's 2001.

But I will add The Usual Suspects since that was in the mid 90s. Snatch also just misses the cut-off, being released in 2000.

No objection from me at least, to each his own. You are fully entitled to your opinion about the American and French cinema.

If you like them, fine. I am not trying to force you to not to like them, like they do in North Korea.
