The trailer already had me hooked, but the soundtrack has sunk its teeth in. Definitely need to check this film out!

And how do you like it, if you don't mind me asking? I listened to some of the tracks on their youtube channel, and to me they sounded terribly bland and uninteresting, a far cry from the glory days of IAW and Awake. And then there's this...

I know, I know.
We'll never have them back as they were on Images and Awake.
But still, some of their songs and albums are still worthy (Scenes From a Memory: Metropolis 2, Octavarium, Black Clouds And Silver Linings).
This last LP, been a concept and a very long album (34 tracks for over 130 minutes) deserves some time.
And many, many listenings.
I'm listenin' to it on Spotify and I gotta say: it gets better each day.
That said. I know they'll never be back to their "Golden Era" but still I found them enjoyable.
I'm currently sitting in café waiting for my daughter to finish her Tuesday training. And they have some really delicious classic blues running in the background.

After a recent concert of theirs kept being shared, I found myself rather stuck on Delain - The Tragedy of the Commons despite the growls. And it's annoying, due to said growls. Way to ruin an otherwise awesome song with a message to send too.

Seem to do that every so often when it comes to Delain, somehow happen to hear one of their more recent songs with a message and mean to give them another chance, then bounce off quickly due to the sound, which I actually liked on their first (proper) album but which since then either left me cold or annoyed me in cases such as this one or the change of We Are The Others, between the nice album sound and the blah video version.
Matter of taste, of course...
