Up to 75% off Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, Abe's Exodus, and Stranger's Wrath.

Strange things are happening, we get a little unusual, a little... odd. Peculiar worlds, kookier characters, and all manner of Oddworld Inhabitants are knock, knock, knockin' on GOG.com's door. This week we highlight the original Oddworld Saga in a peculiar bundle at 75% off!

The unsettlingly beautiful visuals, the disturbingly odd universe, and the unforgivingly difficult gameplay were enough to leave a lasting impression on anyone who encountered Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. It's a timeless story, unique and worth a try (or retry) regardless of whether you've experienced the remastered rerelease. The story of corporate cruelty continues in Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus - with a bigger, more complex and puzzle-focused challenge. Will you save your people, or save yourself?

In Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD you become Stranger, a gunslinging bounty hunter in a colorful Oddworld. Full of signature humor and art-style, the world around you is teeming with peculiar life forms, insane mechanisms, and mind-blowing landmarks. You're armed with a trusty double-barreled crossbow that shoots live ammunition (as in: small creatures), and you will stop at nothing to collect your prize.

Discover, or return to, Oddworld in Weekly Staff Picks: Oddworld Saga Bundle - it welcomes all with open arms and a very particular smile, until Thursday, May 28, 9:59 AM GMT.
Point about the pricing from r/gamedeals:

"$4.99 from Steam and $3.75 from GetGames for The Oddboxx XD.
Part of the problem is GOG's $5.99 minimum price, as the first 2 are $2.99 MSRP on Steam (and go on sale for less than $1 ...). If GOG wants to keep those stricter price points, they really need to bundle up in these cases more like they do with Tomb Raider et al.., probably the first 3 games for this case."

I thought GOG would have renegotiated for Steam's price by now. :P
Thumbs up to Oddysee & Exodus - two of the finest platformers I've played! :-)

There is nothing to renegotiate if they are unwilling to drop the strict $5.99/$9.99 pricing for classic games in the first place.

I meant an Oddysee & Exodus bundle for $5.99.

i dont know how it works on steam, don't know if there is a set price that counts for all websites selling games.
i read somewhere steam having 75 million users worldwide (maybe it was 7.5) i dont know...

anyways, if there is that amount of income they can almost sell anything at 50 cents, you cant compare sites like you compare fruit, you cant compare pears with apples.

game example:
Fortix 2 (drm loaded) list price is very cheap on steam: 1,99€
, on GG however its still 6.95 bucks (euros) (drm free , thats true, but its not autopatched)

so you cant compare one with another.
If amazon sells recently released music at lets say 10 bucks a 10 track album and other sites sell it at 11 bucks or more (no extras included) then there is very little you can do about it.

You cant force all sites and stores to handle the same listprice thats impossible.
Even supermarkets don't have same prices, its impossible.

I also want to win 10 million euros, but i know thats never gonna happen with my luck, so i am not complaining or nagging i want to get rich.

Finally don;t forget that the latest titles on steam are still loaded with drm, or you need the client to be installed, having a client to be actively installed on a PC (no matter if you can use it "offline") is still a form of restriction and will always restrict you so it is a form of DRM.

Drm controlled stuff can be sold very cheap cause they have all the control over it.

So just pay 50 cents to 1 buck more for a fully drm free game /software.
I'd rather pay a bit more for drm free then cheap for drm loaded.

I see lots of nice retailgames at sites like bol dot com , amazon and the like, yet i dont complain and ask them if they can lower the prices or use same pricing like all the other sites do.

If i see a nice priced game or program or book or whatever at these sites then i buy it.
Sometimes when i really like a game i just pay the listprice (xulima retail cd (drm free) 33 euros on bol dot com)
i dont send them mail begging for discount :D

I noticed that the complaining and 'nagging' is increasing over time... GOG tries it best to please the customers...
people 'nagged' about steams library thing, so GOG created one, now they 'mag' about that...
sure i had to get used to the new design aswell, i still do... but i am not constantly 'weeping' and 'crying'.

Another example: pre order Tehchno babylon: 14.19 euros

cleary read:
pre order now upgrade to Deluxe later for free,

yet people 'cry' about the 7 bucks and some cents for the tracks:
there are 32 tracks at 320 kbps mp3 and also in flac, plus some more extras.
7 bucks and a few cents is a good price for that extras, and if you really wanted the tracks, then better read the pre-order texts when they are posted, then decide if pre-ordering would benefit you.

You cant have a great game at less then 10 dollars or euros and all the extras for a few cents or pennies.

great staff pick
Just brought the Oddworld Saga Bundle.
Good promo, though I've hold off on buying any of the Oddworld games on GOG until they are all avaialble.

tinyE: As someone named Abe I fully support this bundle.
avatar
Pardinuz: Abe, is this you?
he's not saving anyone though. offtopic but artificially inflating the economy don't do shit. it's just borrowing more money than they can ever pay off... again.
This is a great bundle of games at an unmissable price! Already have them all, but will be getting a combined gift key.
Great staff pick promo.

But why aren't alternative language versions (German, French) not available on GOG while they are being offered via Steam?

For the same reason that Stranger's Wrath is English-only on Steam, while it's multilingual here; randomness.

That might change though if we're getting GOG's / Oddworld Inhabitants' attention. :)
Has anybody tried Stranger's Wrath with Wine on Linux? Does it work?

Stranger's Wrath has no WineHQ entry and the only post on GOG I've found is this one, which seems to indicate it runs, but it's not very clear and has no details.
