That is a historic low for Gorogoa and I can recommend it at that price. I just played it again a couple of weeks ago. It has some frustrations but if you appreciate looking at things in different ways it is a nice game with a different style than anything else I've played. IMO, it was overhyped and overpriced at release.
A Short Hike is one of my favorites and I can highly recommend it at that price. It is currently in the Humble Trove if you want to try a bunch of games for $5 (though most are quite low quality).
I think Gone Home and Tacoma are still overpriced (as always depending on how wealthy you are :/ ), but they also have a unique style that the developers did a good job designing. It is a somewhat different way of telling a story (which is all they do, they are walking simulators). I'd recommend them at $5 or less. Gone Home has been free various places and might be free here at some point and has at least been less expensive (I think $3 at some point). Tacoma was also in the Humble Trove at one point so I'm not sure why they don't lower the price more.
There is another Gone Home style game that I like and would love to see here: 梅雨の日 / Rainy Season (
wishlist). It is on Itch and in the Huble Trove. It has a few bugs but nothing game breaking that I hit. It is mostly a random day the developer remembers where not much happens and is nice if you like that kind of thing.
Costume Quest is another of my favorites, although it has also been half this price previously if not lower and there is a Costume Quest 2 that isn't available here so no reason to pay more than you need to.
GNOG is a good idea but super frustrating, so I'd hesitate to recommend it even at this price. It is better in a bundle.
