I'm afraid I'm gonna have to press X to doubt on that one :D

I'd hate to admit how many hours I've clocked up in Craft The World. But suffice it to say, I did spend at least 492 hours on just the first level, the very first time I had played the game, around four years ago. Let's just say, it's a very apt game for those who have even the slightest of OCD tendencies, and wish to exercise them... :P

I still play it too regularly, even today.

I'll press A on my Xbox controller to also doubt it.

Man, that's got to be one difficult game :D
An updated copy and paste from before, for Fates of Ort. Whenever it goes on sale, seems to be tacked on afterwards and not included with the weekly sale. Just doing my part for a developer I think deserves it. Maybe one day get it'll be included on a hidden gem or even indie sale.

Why you should buy Fates of Ort.

Actually fun and not frustrating.
Linear in a way, but not on rails, you can explore in any direction you want.
A few fork in the road choices, save X or kill X.
One of my favorite OSTs (by Chris Gray), at 56 tracks. If you add the OST to your cart with the game, it will give you a hidden 50 cent discount on checkout.

Charming retro type aesthetic (Karlis Zabers art) without the clunk of a dated interface.
About 15-20 hour playthrough if you explore thoroughly and complete quests.
No inventory management while exploring, (you can't even if you wanted to). Loot your goods, but you don't need to worry about equipping until you're at a 'Fate Spike' (similar to a waypoint). When you're at a Fate Spike you can make adjustments but it doesn't interrupt your exploring, I personally really like this.
There is a 'Tip' screen for quests, to help you if you choose.

8BitSkull is the developer. On release, he supported Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
Attentive to feedback and bug reports on the gog forums or via email. He posts every update to the Fates of Ort forum, and also updates the patch notes inside Galaxy.

Can disable screen shake, custom keybindings, gamepad support, achievements, OST is in MP3 and WAV...
Starting to get a bit cold outside, but it's always warm and cozy here in Ort. (too much?)
What I really like in this week's offers is the newsletter code for "Trüberbrook" 88% discount + "The Inner World" as a bonus.
Thanks, GOG! :)

Got for steam, but just yesterday I lamented on how I should have gotten it here when it was last on sale and vowed to finally picking it up once it goes on sale again, when what do ya know?

Today it goes on sale; looks like I'm picking it up!

Yep, looks like I don't really need it to go on sale, as I already snagged this gem, and yeah, it needs more exposure as it's an excellent game; it's worth it even at full price!

Wow, I'm used to most GOG sales have a whole pile of "Items you already own". The only thing in this sale I already own is Stronghold HD. It's probably going to stay that way though, I guess not much of this is my cup of tea.

Got me curious but after reading all the reviews... the AI ??

It occasionally has issues (mostly with minecarts), but I suspect the reviewers complaining about it just don't really understand how to play the game. It's basically fine. I completed the campaign, and custom games with all world types (on the hardest difficulty).
