7KAA is a charming RTS with clunky controls but a lot of character, good music, and interesting ideas.

It's also free (game was gifted to the community by the developer) and I imagine better updated at 7kfans.com.

Not sure why or how GOG can continue to sell this game for money.
A lot of games here that I have outright rejected due to being RTS. Before I change my mind on these, I have to know if these really do have what is commonly known as tactical pause. Especially since doubts were raised almost immediately about one of the games, and, of the game pages I checked, only one confirmed that it actually can pause (and several indicated "strategic turns", which is not at all the same thing). I did like Stellaris well enough (not in this sale, but also a real-time game with tactical pause), in spite of some issues typical of real-time games (such as having to wait sometimes for anything at all to happen, as everything is being built or in transit). so maybe I'll like some of these as well. Maybe some are cheap enough for me to just risk it. I guess the only other way would be to waste a lot of time doing research elsewhere, since gog doesn't even have a tag for such a thing (and only has 3 tags per game, anyway, and often mistags or misleadingly tags things, so that's not all that relevant).

Yeah, that confused me too.

There's no pause in DOK. So either it doesn't belong in the sale or the name of the sale needs changing...

Someone at GOG perhaps wants to prevent us from overflowing our brains by reading more than 8 news posts per day and thus spending too much money on the shop.
No FTL??? This is an outrage!

Thanks for the info, I just downloaded it.

Maybe the developer is just making some money from GOG but has still gifted it to the faithful community that keeps updating it, so it's a win-win situation?

I can't see GOG cynically making money from the situation and uploading the updated fan version, so I guess GOG version is less updated than fan version?
both supcoms don't function proper anymore on my machine, it seems this has something to do with a nvidia driver upgrade from a while back, still, mentioning games that don't support tactical pause, games that hardly can be called strategy titles to be honest in favor of games that do bring the right cards to the table such as supcom or dwu but seem to don't work proper anymore on modern day machines seems ultimately fishy ( smell )
Don't know how, but some day I am going to finish Ground Control and its sequel.
