There's never enough Disney in your life!

For us PC gamers, a Disney Publisher Sale means something more than just movies. Nowadays, it's also the best place for all your Point & Click adventures needs.

To celebrate great Disney classics with style, we're starting off with the release of Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow and Disney's Hercules, both -15% off!

Maniac Mansion, The Secret of Monkey Island, and Sam & Max Hit the Road are all available with -65% off.

Next up: A very charming guy with a hat and a whip. All four classic Indiana Jones adventure games are part of the sale with up to -65%! And if you like Dr. Jones a bit more blocky, you can also get both LEGO Indiana Jones games with -75% off each.

But that's not all. There's also a good amount of variety gaming going on, with noteworthy examples such as Outlaws + A Handful of Missions (-65%), The Incredible Machine Mega Pack (-75%), Armed and Dangerous (-65%), or TRON 2.0 (-75%).

The Disney Publisher Sale lasts until May 20th, 10PM UTC.
Judging by this new release discount & the old SW battlefront game Disney value their very old games far higher than I do.

They have been flirting with far lower discount for what are essentially unmaintained old games recently. I think they need to realise nostalgia isn't priceless, people would like some new decent games from Disney & it is most definitely a buyers market so price competitively to sell.

Glaucos: Two great games, nice to see them here.
By the way, Maui Mallard has a very nice music by Michael Giacchino.
That's the reason I was wishing for this game, that's a phenomenal soundtrack! Insta-buy.
Guys, are those new releases good? I have never played those. Are they the same thing like Lion King or Aladdin?

Also wasn't there a 3D hercules game? Or am I mixing it up with some game that was based on Disney's Atlantis or something like that?

hmm might have to throw down for that hercules game. i've not played it before and it looks solid as with most disney platformers of that era.

edit:
bought. it was an impulse buy...but knowing my love for other disney platformers i'm sure i won't regret it. thanks for bringing it to gog.

Soundtrack is indeed ace, especially for the PC releases.

Ashleee: The gamecard is already corrected!

Apparently our marketing guy was too excited about this game when creating this post :P
Thanks! That's more reflective of what you can expect.

I can't speak for Hercules, but Maui Mallard is good and also a 2D platformer, yes.

Very cool releases!
seen many disney movies , read many donald ducks , but never heard of those 2 games
must have sneaked past me , i do know the classic jungle boo and alladin and lion kin we have but the games released now are unknown to me.

Anyway i see: ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS OF USE REQUIRED TO PLAY, on the gamepage :D
unless it needs online connection to play
, why the long and redundant boring Disney terms ? ( all terms are boring btw)

Always bla bla copyright ,and the subscribtion :D if a game is DRM free and i buy it, i see it as owned by me, nothing you subscribed thing.... :D
A subscription is reccuring and can be canceled, getting a game is NOT a subscription , the game is considered as bought .

Technically, all you buy(according to game makers) when buying games is a LICENSE to play the games & they give you a copy of the game to use that license.

Ya, I know, they don't like people owning their stuff...but what can you do. :\
Mm.. I recall Hercules' graphic being a bit better tho..
The Playstation version seems to have smoother edges and more ambient effects? (you'll have to zoom in\out these pics)

Some versions of some games have better graphics due to being touched up/improved. Also if you run the game on ultra-high-res the game is probably gonna look like crap.
I love you GOG because you find the really few games that I forgot about in my childhood....
Maui Mallard !!!!! I'm just buying it.
Thank YOU!!!!

This looks more like a lower-quality port to pc (not that uncommon at the time).
And Gog's aspect ratio doesn't seem too altered (see the black bars).
It really feels like a problem of lacking anti-aliasing, maybe software rendering, plus some other missing effect.
(unless the screenshots are simply bad)

You may be right...it could be a port to PC(This reminds me of this one very bad port of the pirates of the carribean game to pc...the controls were all controller focused/had controller button labels/etc), or just bad screenshots.

If it's the former, then bad on the devs. If it's the latter, then maybe someone should tell GOG staff to gtake better screenshots. :)
Nice releases. Is the same Maui Mallard game released in the Genesis/Mega Drive?
