No discount for Hand of Fate: Wildcards?
A Machine for Pigs is still my favorite "not technically developed by Frictional" game. I don't care how un-gamelike others can deride it to be, it tells a pretty engaging story, even if it does have that Pinchbeck pretense stuffed into it a bit too tightly. Plus the voice acting, sound design and Jessica Curry's almost too amazing for mere mortal ears soundtrack help to elevate it into memorable territory.
If you haven't got SOMA, get it the fuck already!!! :D

Has anyone played the War Wind games? I don't usually get along that well with strategy games, they're too abstract, too complicated, too long, tedious or stressful for my liking. I sometimes try to make an effort if something looks nice, but so far nothing has really stuck with me for long. These War Winds games though look kind of tempting again, in that the setting seems positively weird and cool, and I kind of like the graphics. How do they compare to other RTS games? Are they easy to get into or not? Are missions long or short? Which one is better, the first or the second game (I think I find the graphics a bit more appealing in the first one)?

Heh, I actually have three of these games, but none of them interest me. SOMA must have been given away at some point, I know Fantasy General was, and I did Connect Amnesia because, hey, another game in my library.

Did Amnesia used to have more bonus goodies like the soundtrack?
The graphics in Amnesia: The Dark Descent already is quite dark. But judging from GOG's screnshots is it even darker in A Machine For Pigs?

No. Something to remember is that a big gimmick in The Dark Descent centered around Daniel being nyctophobic but Mandus doesn't suffer from it in A Machine for Pigs. Some areas are dark but you've also got a lantern that doesn't rely on oil to stay lit.
Wizardry 6-8, which I already own, makes me wish GOG could get Wizardry 1-5 in the store.
Wizardry series are great RPG's and I highly recommend them.

Would like to pick up a few games here but my wallet is still recovering from the summer sale........

....well maybe one or two wouldn't hur-*Hears a gun arming, looks over shoulder and see wallet threatening to pop a cap in me if I go to the purchase screen*
How good are the Hand of Fate games? I haven't played a fantasy card game since Magic The Gathering released in '93, but I enjoyed it then. I do enjoy combat RPGs quite a lot. It's strange how the price of these indie games have stayed relatively high for so long.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
