Up to 75% off System Shock 2, Wings, Rocket Ranger, Earth series and more!

It's the weekend! And that means it's also time for another sale. The games are so good, we just had to come up with an awful pun to make up for it. It's Weekend Promo: FUNdamentals, with discounts up to 75% off!

How could we not start with System Shock 2 - an absolutely legendary FPS/RPG hybrid that's paved the way for not just the Bioshock series, but a huge number of modern day shooters. If you you think you've gotten all you can out of the game already, you have to check out the recently released System Shock Infinite mod which expands the story far beyond the ending of the base game - an informal sequel to the title you know and love (or are about to have a major crush on).

If you haven't played Double Fine's Psychonauts yet, now's the time. Seriously. We've also got classic adventures, including the creepy-crawly Bad Mojo Redux and the terrifying I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, RPG epics including the Two Worlds series, and some emulated retro Amiga action with Rocket Ranger and Wings. Strategy fans - we've got you covered with Defender of the Crown and the Earth twenty-one-something series!

As always, there's more gaming goodness to be had up to 75% off - so check out this weekend's DRM-free FUNdamentals on GOG.com! The promo will last until Tuesday, March 31 at 0359Z, or 3:59 AM GMT.
How is that "Gorky 17" game? What resolutions does it support?
I am on the fence about JA:Wildfire. Is really so bad (or good) as the reviews say?
I have Two Worlds but have not yet played it. How is the sequel in comparison?

Of these, I already own most of the ones that I'm interested in, though I suppose I should finally get around to picking up Septerra Core...

Attention: It does not work on Windows 7 and 8.

opeter2: Attention: It does not work on Windows 7 and 8.
Correction: It may not work. That is, GOG doesn't guarantee that the game will definitely work 100% on Windows 7/8. Having said that, I was able to run it on Windows 7 64-bit.

Thanks for the info! I just saw the game card and it's only showing WinXP and Vista on there.
So, we eventually get a sale on Cinemaware's titles... interesting

Yes, and it worked fine for me on Windows 8, other than minor 2 problems:

1. The videos would be transparently overlayed on the background, still completely watchable, but somewhat annoying seeing the background through the video.

One solution, if it really annoys you: The video files are available in a folder in the game directory, so they can be watched with VLC if you really want to see them without the background. Just quit the game, watch the movie, then start the game again.

2. If I alt-tabbed out and back in, the graphics would be all screwed up.

Solution: Don't alt-tab out, just save and quit if you need to use the desktop.

if you are a true jagged alliance (classics versions ofcourse) fan, then its worth buying.
I have all the classics, i saw the remakes and noticed they changed the graphics engine, thats where i stopped buying the latest ones, same goes for fallout,( i have FO 1 and 2 and tactics(retail) the classica were awesome the followups are bad.

i am sure i had the wildfire on retail (topware i think it was) cant seem to find it , thats kinda bad.
anyways i think the classics are the best.

yup, the gorky 17 is visually a mess on win7 64 bits (maybe on 32 aswell i dont know i have only 64 bits)
on xp it was a bit troublesome, but still good playability without too many graphcial glitches but on win7 it messes up.

Thanks. I like the classics very much. I beat JA 1 once and JA 2 twice. I will definitely look into it more closely.

your welcome ....
i have just made a screenshot of how the gorky17 looked on my old 17inch CRT monitor (default 1024x768)(85hz)
max: 1280x1024 (75hz)

and on a screenshot the gorky17 in software mode looks a bit nicer.

Hey, any news about the latest steam update to System Shock 2 coming here? Yeah I know you can get it through SSTool but since steam got it an official update, it would be only fair that we got one too. :/

Any thought on Enclave? very tempted by SS 2 if it can be fixed to solve the late 90's too dark to see much fps problem.
