Today, in Warsaw, CD Projekt is holding a conference to sum up the year 2010 and to reveal some of the plans for the upcoming 2011. We'd like to invite you all to watch the live stream of the conference, mainly concerning The Witcher 2, which will start at 12:30 EDT (or 17:30 GMT if you're in the European time zone) at TheWitcher.com and The Witcher Facebook page. There will also be a special GOG.com part with a surprise for all fans of good games! See you there! ;)
5. Are you guys crazy?
We get asked that a lot.
:D

too bad my laptop can't handle the game, otherwise I would have been very tempted o_o
Poland gets it for 119PLN for Premium. [41 bucks]
Collectors Edition goes for 229PLN. [80 bucks]

Now, this is better news for Poles interested in The Witcher.
I'm here for the old games, so i'll pass, nor a fan of the Witcher.
Have fun with TW2 guys!:)
Is my audio screwing up or are they talking gibberish? :(

eyeball226: $6 for us, $16 for Euro-people. Basically, we get ripped off less so they don't have to compensate us so much.
Huh? I might've misheard but I'm pretty sure he said that the UK price is about $6 higher than the US, so they get $6 store credit to buy anything on GOG. Euro price is about $16 higher than US so they get $16 store credit. US don't get either because they already have the lowest price.

All customers get their choice of one free game from a collection of five though.
EDITLINE: ... wait, sorry I read "us" as "US". Please convince them to change the name of their country.

Polish. You're excused though, the difference is subtle.

Damuna: Didn't he say $6?

He says he thinks he's given a pretty convincing pitch of why GOG.com has the best pre-order offer in the world. Yeah, I agree.
avatar
Vitek: It's 16$, you can find it on pre-order page. He said it's 10$ difference so you get 6$ for free.
Basically €50 = $66 so they're being nice and giving you credit because you're being ripped off.
this preorder is such a brilliant way to make people buy the game, by the way. I like CD Projekt's way of countering piracy!

You just reiterated what I said. I said $6 for us, not US. :P

Us as in "we people in the UK".

Yeah, I realised that, thus the editline. Which probably wasn't added when you read the post.

I still have Witcher 1 to play, so I'll wait till I can buy Witcher two for no more than 20$. :D

I'll pass on this one too.
As good as The Witcher 2 looks, and the fact it will be available through GOG - I have to say I'm disappointed, as I thought they were going to annonce a major new publisher for good *old* games in the conference .... :(

I'm hoping they release The Witcher here in the meantime, this conference has got me psyched about the game.
