Today, in Warsaw, CD Projekt is holding a conference to sum up the year 2010 and to reveal some of the plans for the upcoming 2011. We'd like to invite you all to watch the live stream of the conference, mainly concerning The Witcher 2, which will start at 12:30 EDT (or 17:30 GMT if you're in the European time zone) at TheWitcher.com and The Witcher Facebook page. There will also be a special GOG.com part with a surprise for all fans of good games! See you there! ;)

Catshade: Did they just delete the (presumably premature) preorder announcement? Whoops :P
YOU SAW NOTHING.
All I know personally is that all this makes for an interesting distraction as I work on the new wanted list some more.....btw applications are still available at link under wanted list.....vote on the left and add your personally wanted games(to come to gog) on the right. Fun for all the family, except pesky inlaws that is.
I would like to see just one question answered, concerning W2. Will Geralt finally be able to jump? ;-)
I would definitly encourage them to launch witcher 2 on GoG, but the lack (yes lack) of regional pricing would probably lead to no retail release for western europe except for GB and eastern europeans would pay more than what they are used to.
Thats what happend when stardock tried to launch elemental without regional pricing.

did you ever try to swim in a puddle of water? it's really hard, even without two giant swords on your back ;)

and cool, as soon as I get home from work, I'm tuning in to watch the conference, thanks!

Amazon Germany lists the collector's edition now for 102 euro. Hefty, but worthy i hope.
I just preordered and hope it's uncut like The Witcher 1.
The Witcher 2 to be sold on GoG.com; will be DRM free
Thanks for the offer , but i'll pass this game ( and the previous one )
The Witcher 2 on GoG.com... sounds like a big risk but I hope it will turn out well.

Guess we will see a release of The WItcher 1 here on GOG aswell?

It's a joke reference to all the game characters through time who can fight off hoardes of baddies and do all sorts of stuff bur whom die or get hurt(and bounce up/etc) if they touch even a puddle of water.
(imitating Geralt) I can't wait.
Will The Witcher 2 sell for 9.99$? Or 5.99$?

Of the two, most definitely $9.99, but probably higher still.

I am sure the Witcher 2 will have a new price tag and that would at least be 29.99 or 39.99. Maybe even higher.
It would be most suitable if the Witcher 2 was at that new price tag, and the Witcher 1 at $9.99.
