well that sure was quick. Glad to see it's a smashing success for him already, I would have felt pretty bad if the interest was tiny compared to the DoubleFine one.

Only pledged $15 but might change that to $50 by the deadline because the extras seem pretty sweet. Never played Wasteland and I'm poor, so yeah...only set for $15 for now

why is it so hard to set up an additional account for PayPal payments? i don't have a credit card and i'm not gonna jump through half a dozen hoops to work around that, but i'd pledge in a heartbeat if PayPal was an accepted method of payment.

By the way, does anyone know if there's any way to buy the original Wasteland, or if the team has plans to re-release it as part of their promo campaign? In a way that shows I probably belong here at GOG, I'm almost more interested in that... but of course, I funded this one too!

uchos: Fargo has got the rights to the Wasteland name/franchise, but the rights to Wasteland (as in the first game itself) are still in EA hands.

Fargo said he's trying to get it back, unsuccesfully until now. But he also said that EA has been reasonable in their discussion, so there may still be hope.
To someone asking him on Twitter about the possibility of putting the original Wasteland on GOG, he answered along the lines of "I would if I could".

There's currently no way to buy Wasteland that I know of, besides the second hand boxes on ebay or such (GL with that).

Check the Kickstarter Homepage, it's in their faq.

Ach, too bad. Thanks for the quick reply, though.

Is Wasteland even a franchise?

Smannesman: Is Wasteland even a franchise?
Not technically unless you consider the Fallouts part of it since it did inspire those games.

Technically this, but in spirit it definitely is.

Wasn't sure which thread to bump about WL2. :-/ But some

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE

Less than 4 grand left until funding reaches 2 million dollars! Then another 100,000, and Chris Avellone comes aboard to (apparently) work his magic. Here's hoping you RPG fans get your money's worth all around! :) I'm excited for you guys.

Now it's down to just over $2k to go. Personally I'm pullling for $3m so that we get modding tools.
