orcishgamer: The 100 USD one is awesome enough, that's what I got. If you really have 250 sitting around a signed copy would be cool too:)
I can foresee the value of the $100 and $250 ones rising in value once you let it sit around on your shelf for a while. If Fargo's true to his word, these are going to be OOP once the Kickstarter is over.

Oh I'm sure without 10 years they'll be worth 10-20 times as much, sealed.
About 90,000 to go! It's been, what, about 2 days since this went live? 1.5 mil seems entirely possible, unless the entire supply of fans is exhausted at around 850,000. :P And even then, there's still 33 days left.

EDIT: Lol, 850,000 now. Who the fudge was I kidding?

They'll gather at least 2 millions, but I doubt they'll reach 2,5 - good for them if they do. As for me, I'll probably wait for the final version in a year and a half.

tburger: Edit: We seriously need to consolidate our Wasteland 2 posts to a single thread.
I vote for that one, 'cause it was first. Either way, pick one! Or not.

Also, any Twatterers should go Twatter with Brian. There's like, 7 times more backers than he's got followers, so go boost the mans ego!

Hmmm guess its the 250 one after all..... I was thinking signatures are Meh but.... I guess ill look at it as an investment.

*edit sigh I need a new computer, my smart phone is not cutting it as a web browser and my lap top sometimes sparks when I plug the cord into the laptop. (the thing that connects the juice so to speak was broken after a drunken skype/passing out and knocking my laptop off my bed)....*

TAKE MY MONEY FARGO TAKE IT ALL

this is the first time ive paid for a game more than a year in advance.
20 grand left. Again, I have no real interest in the game, but I'm happy to see others happy, and it's addicting to refresh and see how much closer the end goal is. :)
Wohoo the game is going ahead, 900k reached!
The Wasteland 2 Kickstarter has just reached its goal of $900,000 with 33 days to go. Well done, everybody!
I wouldn't be surprised if they were able to get about as much money as DFA, though it could be a bit less, since I think adventure games still have a broader appeal than hardcore tactical rpgs. It'll be interesting to see what will happen there.

Cool stuff, looking forward to trying the game. I never played the original, sadly... way before my time.

PoSSeSSeDCoW: I knew I should have marked it as sarcasm after I posted. Since it got $200k in less than a day, I think it's pretty clear it'll exceed its target.

goral: You obviously do not know what sarcasm is and how to use it.

Now all people that know about Wasteland and visit sites such as RPG Codex and NMA are donating but these will eventually run out. The rest who doesn't care won't even know about it until they read it on Kotaku/Reddit or some other site and even then they might think that some no-name company that makes only 'sucky' games wants to steal their money by making an archaic game for mere 900 000 $ (that's actual comment from some retard on Polish site, paraphrased). Can we gather 1M $ only from people who played Wasteland and/or who do not like Bethesda games? Because otherwise I'm afraid it will be difficult.

The rate at which the amount of money increases has already dropped drastically after reaching 220k $. In comparison in the same amount of time DF managed to get $400k.
It took about 36 hours for them to reach their target and they've pulled in another 25k since I got up this morning
Hurrah! We're gona be playing wasteland 2 in about 2 years time!

So at present Fargo only has to contribute $75K of his own money to reach the reall $1mil goal.
Look at this pic of Fargo's game shelf. http://twitter.com/#!/BrianFargo/status/171695015175782400/photo/1/large

Just scan those titles and tell me if you'd still be a gamer if none of those games had ever existed.
