Plenty of hints, though.

Hmmm did he sign up with a publisher who yanked it? Or perhaps it's one of those deals where like with a previous publisher they will come back for sales/specials and then yank it again afterwards? Hard to tell...

It sure seems like that's the reason for the game getting pulled from GOG, but how is it possible for him to not be getting the revenue from the GOG sales of his game since he published it himself? Also, what is this "BulkyPix" he refers to in that tweet?

If I understand correctly, handled the publishing for Pony Island and Plug In Digital were the distributor (both are listed as publishers on [url=http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Pony_Island]PCGW). BulkyPix went bankrupt in August, which would explain the revenue not getting to Mullins. I guess they couldn't sort things out so the game was removed.

Or maybe it was something else, I dunno.

Explains why we received no patched after the date of that tweet. That kinda sucks for anyone who wanted the game in Russian...

There ever was a game called Pony Island on GOG?

eek
Seems a likely reason for it to come off the store page if there is a problem between developer and publisher, but doesn't really explain the person who bought it and can't play it? It suggests they removed the game from their database entirely, or blocked it off from access, both of which are pretty shady practices for someone who has already purchased the product. I mean whatever the issue really is, the customer is entirely innocent and now being screwed as much as anyone else. Probably the issue will be resolved before long and it will be put back up. In the meantime however it's kinda sad to have to say, I'm glad I bought this on Steam.

A game isn't removed from the library, if it's removed from the store.

Hey GOGers,

Upon developer’s request, we, unfortunately, had to remove Pony Island from our store. We’re sorry that this hadn’t been communicated to you before it happened - sadly, we weren’t able to do it this time around. Our BizDev team is in talks with the developer, and we’ll update you on the situation if there’s any significant changes. Thanks & apologies for the inconvenience!
