Did get it on a sale already, still haven't played it. Wonder if i can play it with a logitech gamepad which has setting for direct play and x input.

What heads up? They had a contract and it had an expiration date. The only acceptable excuse would be that they were negotiating with Square Enix until yesterday and didn't come to an agreement.

EDIT:
Unless it was SE that lost the licensing rights and thus forcing GOG to remove it and letting them know just now. Didn't think about that at first.

I wonder if it will return here for free. The rights are returning to Mucky Foot and Mike Diskett I presume? (yes, he's a programmer and his last name is diskett, hah!).

Mike did release the source code to Urban Chaos a couple years ago. He seems to be on good business terms with GoG since Sattelite Reign is being sold here.

Depends on what exactly Square Enix owns. Maybe the game will land in legal hell and we don't see it ever again, or maybe it comes back with a new price tag/free. I wish for the latter ;). Cheers
