Will check forum. Thank you, Mike, for link.
You may want to download the game without Galaxy, either via Browser or via GoGDownloader. Then install the game by using the downloaded installer. Galaxy doesn`t work 100% correct.

Maybe try to run it in compatibility & administrator mode

( find the shortcut in your "start" menu, right click, compatibility tab )

pbulling: Thanks
i meant Windows 95 or XP SP1 compatibility mode. If only to clear the issue of Win7 64 bits being the issue with a game code that was compiled in 32 bits.

I don't have the game on GOG. To what version did they patch it ? 1.1 ? 1.2 ?

Don't know the version patched. Was able to briefly open the game and then it crashed. Thanks for your suggestions.

Found it 1.1. Anyway 1.2 is unofficial and not sure it would help.

One thing I found on the net was to create a batch file in the same folder as the executable, as follows :

@echo off
taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
PACGEN.exe
Start explorer.exe

But for me, that would rather address issues encountered with the display.

Another thing I found is that it is advisble to install the game in a folder like : C:\GAMES\PACIFIC\ without spaces or other special characters.
