Crosmando: Just make sure you use the Beautiful Britannia mod guys, it removes physical barriers in-game and makes the world map less linear.
Physical barriers?

GameRager: Physical barriers?
Converts some linear zones into non-linear ones, so for example an impassable hill etc which blocks you from exploring the rest of the map, is removed.

Well that rules that mod out for me, then. (I usually try to play a game the original way it was made[Gameplay-wise/graphics-wise, I mean.] first.)

An aside: Plus linearity isn't as bad as people make it out to be, imo.

aluinie: Nice interview all i got to say is tell us EnigmaticT what all are your 700 games you brought over. Just kidding but you did a goo job with your talk.
This is the answer to all "why game X isn't on gog yet?" question:

T didn't buy it as a kid! :D

Oh yeah, by all means play the game vanilla on your first playthrough, I would advise it. I'm a bit surprised (or not) that I seem to be like the only person on the GOG boards who actually kinda liked IX, despite all it's flaws.
Bad games with cool history behind them are good in my books. Bring on U9!
Still have the Tarot Cards and the nice cloth map. I liked that game, even when I sucked at that game at all.

But will surely give it a try again, my original disc does not let me install the game anymore :)

Well oldschool says he/she liked it......also I might like it as well(Never played it, but I seem to like alot of the games people don't like.).....we'll see.
Oh come on, guys. Don't jump on the Ultima 9 hate bandwagon.

A couple of unofficial patches and Ultima 9 actually becomes a decent game - mind you, it's still not breathtakingly good or anything but playable.

I quit when a quest item disappeared and I couldnt progress, so yeah, I would buy a PATCHED working copy :)

M&M9 is a masterpiece compared to this...
Makes you glad the canon Wizardry never made it to 9.

I would be very happy to see it here as it is actually a game I've never played before.

And my guess is that half of the people bitching about UIX never played any other Ultima games.

I'm wondering if some dislike it because U9 was in 3d while the others were designed differently?

Good thing it's coming. After Spoony's review, I'm really curious to try it out for myself. And the completist in me kinda wants this, even if it's only for my shelf.

And besides, this thing has almost 1900 votes, so GOG should be able to get decent sales numbers out of it. >_> And Pagan didn't do that badly, either.

Here's hoping for WC: Prophecy, as well. :)
