It’s high time to invite the 7th Guest and the 11th Hour into GOG.com catalogue.

In the beginning of 1990’s, most games would fit on a couple floppies and CD-ROM was as widespread as a combination Mouse and VoIP Phone is today. However, one gaming company decided to do something utterly ridiculous: create a game with live actors, pre-rendered 3D environment, and orchestrated score, a game so big it would have to be sold on CD-ROM. The game they created, The 7th Guest, eventually sold more than 2 million copies and is considered by many the killer app that created a demand for CD-ROM drives.

The 7th Guest is a gothic thriller adventure set inside an eerie abandoned mansion of one Henry Stauf, an insane toymaker who decided to make the house full of twisted quests, bizarre puzzles, and deadly challenges. Bill Gates hailed it then "the new standard in interactive entertainment".
The thrilling sequel, The 11th Hour, follows the same path of terror, desolation, and grotesque logic but with even more advanced graphics, better cinematic sequences, and more in-game content.

Together, The 7th Guest and The 11th Hour, form an unsettling tale of horror and mystery that will send chills down your spine. Both games are coming soon to GOG.com for $9.99 each.

Will you accept the invitation to Henry Stauf’s cursed mansion?

I think that I'm going to use this a lot this year
Trilobyte Games !!! Welcome to GOG . . . =)
I'm just wondering how you guys managed to run these games.

7th Guest is easy. But 11th Hour is not supported (yet!) by ScummVM. Or is it now? :)

Also, I'm wondering if we'll ever see Uncle Henry's Playhouse. I got the game but I never got it to run. I'd have to build a Win95 VM just for it...

deadfolk: I actually think this was the very first CD-ROM game I bought. For my 3x caddy-using Panasonic drive.
Disc caddies! I completely forgot about those, our first computer had one. Ah, good times.
What? GOG.com is going to sell Mouse and VoIP Phone combinations?
Ooh, cool! Luckily for me, I have The 7th Guest all set up so I can just drop it into ScummVM when I eventually get around to installing it (my uncle has the discs, and it was a pain to get it actually on my computer and usable, but worth it), even if I'm terrible at adventure games.

Oh, so terrible.

But The 11th Hour! Need to check ScummVM's compatibility page.

you just made me remember my trusty 2x (or 4x) caddy using plextor burner.
I shudder when i think what the plextor burner actually cost back then...
omg I can't believe this is happening... best horror adventures (except for Sanitarium) finally arriving

SLP2000: Awesome news, this is true classic.

I hope it doesn't mean we're done with SE titles.
Yes, this doesn't mean we're done with SE titles ;)

dquadros: What? GOG.com is going to sell Mouse and VoIP Phone combinations?
Yes, sign me up!
Hooray -- These games have a certain enduring quality. I'm not happy about the price, but I am glad to see them here. Strange that the email I got from Trilobyte Games only specified DotEmu and not GOG as having the titles...
Two words: Microscope puzzle. *shudder*
How long do we have to refresh the store pages before we can purchase? :P I want to play it now, but I also want it in my GOG collection instead of some other site i never use

I,m still hoping for the shivers series ;)
This just totally made my day. I lost my 7th Guest discs a long time ago *cries* and while I still have my 11th Hour discs, that game is damn near impossible to get running on a modern OS. I am so looking forward to matching wits with Henry Stauf again. :D
