It’s high time to invite the 7th Guest and the 11th Hour into GOG.com catalogue.

In the beginning of 1990’s, most games would fit on a couple floppies and CD-ROM was as widespread as a combination Mouse and VoIP Phone is today. However, one gaming company decided to do something utterly ridiculous: create a game with live actors, pre-rendered 3D environment, and orchestrated score, a game so big it would have to be sold on CD-ROM. The game they created, The 7th Guest, eventually sold more than 2 million copies and is considered by many the killer app that created a demand for CD-ROM drives.

The 7th Guest is a gothic thriller adventure set inside an eerie abandoned mansion of one Henry Stauf, an insane toymaker who decided to make the house full of twisted quests, bizarre puzzles, and deadly challenges. Bill Gates hailed it then "the new standard in interactive entertainment".
The thrilling sequel, The 11th Hour, follows the same path of terror, desolation, and grotesque logic but with even more advanced graphics, better cinematic sequences, and more in-game content.

Together, The 7th Guest and The 11th Hour, form an unsettling tale of horror and mystery that will send chills down your spine. Both games are coming soon to GOG.com for $9.99 each.

Will you accept the invitation to Henry Stauf’s cursed mansion?
I never got around to playing the 11th guest. Will definitely buy.
What are the chances of getting Clandestiny and Uncle Henry's Playhouse added to the list?
Great news. Never had the chance to play the 7th Guest (I'm more of a Myst-guy myself).

But old mad Ubisoft is still there.
Crazy, sick, AAAND MEEEEEAAANN!!!
I've wanted to try out 7th guest good to see it found a home on GOG
Well, as far as I am concerned, 9.99 for each game is not a good pricing. I would have considered 9.99 for a pack including both games though

Especially as 7th Guest for iOS is sold at a price of 4.99 USD

Always nice to see more good new publishers here on GOG
Finally more classic horror games on GOG! Games like these are the sole reason I joined this site and it makes me extremely happy to see some new horror-related games pop up every now and then :)

Uncle Henry's Playhouse — a compilation of all the puzzles from The 7th Guest, The 11th Hour, and Clandestiny. It sold 27 copies in the United States, and 127 worldwide.[2]

I checked the link. That's not a typo.

The 7th Guest: Infection — a stand-alone version of the Microscope Puzzle from the original release of The 7th Guest, which was excluded from the re-released iPhone and iPad versions due to technical issues. To be released as an app for iPad in April 2011.

I hope that that microscope puzzle is included in the GOG version of 7th Guest.

There's no reason it wouldn't be. The only reason it wasn't in the iOS version was technical limitations, so they released it separate with new features. Frankly, that's kind of a pain. The game's okay with the new features, but in the original game it's just kind of brutal. Oh well. I'll survive... or skip it.
So those will be the next tuesday and thursday release or both on the same day? :)

TomNook: Two words: Microscope puzzle. *shudder*
I bought the stupid iPhone version of the game as soon as possible before realizing that the microscope puzzle wasn't to be found for some reason. It was half the reason I bought it, as I never could complete it as a 13 year old!

I assume this is the complete and full game with everything including from the original (most especially the microscope puzzle!)? I've been waiting for revenge for years now and I don't want to buy the separate version of just that puzzle that's now available for the iPhone (I assume it wasn't patched into the original game still?)

I remember getting the 11th hour as a present for my birthday and getting all excited until I noticed that I didn't have a DVD-rom at that point. :( Can't wait to see what I missed.
This is great news. These games had great puzzles and oozed atmosphere. I don't know how they will hold up today, but they are excellent additions. Add 2 more to the wishlist!
