Liked the book. My mother liked the book. I'll take her to see this when it comes out. :)
The book is pretty good, it's a fun and relaxing read.
The trailer reveals too much IMHO.
Hey when I was a kid I had read "robinson in space" by gianni padoan, which is the same story but on the moon.

Am i cool too ?
I really need to read that book. It seems to be right up my alley. The movie seems quite interesting and should be good since its directed by Ridley Scott.

The only reason for me to watch this movie is to see how Sean Bean dies this time, with martians probably of probing.
Currently I'm having trouble caring about finishing Interstellar, so I very much doubt this would be up my alley.

That has not been true for some time now. Now it's rather the exact opposite. That said, I'm not watching the trailer (or the movie obviously) to avoid spoilers untill I read the book. Which I will get around to. Eventually.
I love sci fi movies. I hope it will be more than only survival movie with no story.

The book spoils the entire plot with the first sentence, so you can't really over-spoil from watching the trailer. I wouldn't have linked it if it were a spoiler-filled expo of a great story.

The first sentence!

Agreed, it was the movie... minus the ending.
