niniendowarrior: I suppose Redkit mods are totally different from general nexusmod stuff then.
I guess not completely different, but different enough. Here is an example:

Thanks!
Been playing Witcher 2 on Linux. I would like to say, thank you to CDPR and VP for bringing the game over (virtualized or not). No more wine!!! Please bring TW3 to Linux!

TW2 worked decently in Wine though, but still it's good to have an official release. And TW3 can't work in Wine at all, so without the port Linux users are left out.
I hope they'll consider something faster than the VP port for Witcher 3, the game is already power hungry enough and the wrapper would take its toll.

Personally wouldn't mind if they release it next year, better wait and get a proper port than a rushed one which "will do".

Yeah, in such case I'd prefer them to use Vulkan, but it can set them back even more (like another year).

I don't mind if they take their time as long as I know that a good port will be coming.
On Steam Witcher 3 was advertised as being available for SteamOS at some point (maybe this autumn?), so I think it is quite clear (and contractual) there will be a Linux version at some point, possibly for release with the Steam machines. Batman AK will be available for SteamOS for release as well this month.

Now I hope this won't be an exclusivity on Steam, since I purposefully cancelled my Steam preorder of Witcher 3 to buy it directly on GOG, despite it would cost me a little more, to support a DRM free platform and the editor.

I have a GTX970 on my Linux box and would like to use it for the Witcher :)

If CDPR made the Linux version Steam exclusive they would make so many people angry and they know that.
Obviously, it would drive a lot of customers away from GOG for good.
It is safe to say that making the Linux port Steam exclusive would possibly be the most idiotic move a company can make at all.

It shouldn't be. CDPR own GOG, and not releasing their own game here would be weird.

No, they don't. CDP own GOG and CDPR. :)

No, CDPR own everything. CDP is just a formality.

Even if it's just a formality doesn't it mean that legally CDP owns CDPR? If that's so is there a different criterion that can be used to identify the owner of GOG?

CDPR is really heading it all (i.e. as in people directing it). CDP is just an entity for legal purpose I think. Regular story. Compare key people of the two.
