The Witcher 3 seems to be the only game from the sale lacking confirmation: http://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/lots-of-big-games-confirmed-for-steamos-torchlight-ii-now-out-payday-2-mordor-and-more-coming-too.5047
Yes, indeed. I'm waiting for CDPR to say something about it.
CDPR said the public announcement of the Linux release of the Witcher 3 is going to be a little later. So it's happening!

E-mail reply. See here.
Don't take my word for it, it's not a replacement of the public announcement :) But I hope they'll announce it soon.

Sounds promising, but I'm still going to wait for an official public announcement before I part with any $$.... waiting patiently (sort of)...
CDPR collect questions about the Witcher 3 release. Quite a lot of people already asked about Linux in that thread, so hopefully CDPR will make some official statement.

They didn't answer multiple questions about Linux which were posted there :( Surely nothing will happen before the initial release.

I think that was to be expected.

Their silence wasn't really expected. Of course Linux release wasn't expected any time soon.

Why not? I was pretty sure they wouldn't say anything.

Why can't they if they planned Linux release already? They said they'll announce it "soon". It didn't happen so far (the announcement).

They also said the GOG downloader would be available for Linux. They seem to have become more careful what they officially announce. I don't think they officially said they had the Witcher port planned so "planned" could mean that they are going to port it to Linux if they can and before release things probably don't change so notably that they can promise it now.

They said explicitly (answering an e-mail question) that they plan it and will announce it. So I guess it's not the time yet because of the release overhead. May be they'll announce it "soon" after the release.

Let's hope they do that and announce a native version. :)
