ZFR: "Jak dwie niedziele będą w kupie."

I've heard it once or twice. Could be a regional saying.

EDIT:
Also, see attachment. It's like, 2 weeks from now, Judas.

With 2016 coming to an end (too soon? too late?), it's time for the biannual update.

In 2016 GOG released 289 game titles (not including DLCs and games still In Development). First releases were and Darkest Hour: A Hearts of Iron Game on January 5th, and last release was Of Light and Darkness: The Prophecy on December 29th. Out of the 289 titles, 119 (41%) were day 1 releases, with Level22 Gary's Misadventures just missing out on that list (day 2 release). There are a few more games that were released with a slight delay, those can be found in the spreadsheet.
We also had 35 (12%) pre-2K games released, while the total number of games ten years old or more is 57 (20%), with 4 games missing the 10 years requirement, even though they were released in 2006 (Perimeter: Emperor's Testament, Sid Meier's Railroads!, Sea Dogs: Caribbean Tales and Caesar IV)

Compared with 2015, GOG released 29 pre-2K fewer (35 to 64), 37 10+ years old fewer (57 to 94), and 25 more day 1 releases (119 to 94) and 19 less games (289 to 308). GOG also started selling games In Development, with 30 titles being introduced in 2016, and 7 of them being released as full games.

And a quick sum of the GOG years so far

2008 had 65 releases, 29 (45%) of which were pre-2K ones.
2009 had 114 releases, 47 (41%) of which were pre-2K ones.
2010 had 79 releases, 35 (44%) of which were pre-2K ones, and 36 (46%) being 10+ years old.(Baldur's Gare 2: Complete being 10+ years old, but not pre-2K)
2011 had 85 releases, 48 (56%) of which were pre-2K ones, 57 (67%) being 10+ years old, and 1 (1%) day one release (The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings)
2012 had 160 releases, 48 (30%) of which were pre-2K ones, 64 (40%) being 10+ years old, and 24 (15%) being day one releases.
2013 had 183 releases, 45 (25%) of which were pre-2K ones, 59 (32%) being 10+ years old, and 52 (28%) being day one releases.
2014 had 203 releases, 32 (16%) of which were pre-2K ones, 41 (20%) being 10+ years old, and 72 (35%) being day one releases.
2015 had 308 releases, 64 (21%) of which were pre-2K ones, 94 (31%) being 10+ years old, and 94 (31%) being day one releases.
2016 had 289 releases, 35 (12%) of which were pre-2K ones, 57 (20%) being 10+ years old, and 119 (41%) being day one releases, as well as 30 InDev games.
Total (so far) of 1487 releases, 383 (26%) of which were pre-2K ones, 473 (28%) being 10+ years old on release, and 363 (24%) being day one releases.

Release dates have been taken from GOG pages, data is compiled here.

Next update to the list, end of June. Have a happy new year everyone.

P.S. Feel free to report any errors and/or omissions, but I won't see them till next year. Enjoy yourselves in the meantime.

Nope, I don't keep track of said statistics. Maybe MaGog can help you though.

I'll have a look. How GOG's doing depends on this a lot. Knowing how many games there have been released every year is important but knowing at least one reason why is in a way even better.

What I was able to find:

- You include Everspace in the spreadsheet, which is an in-dev game.
- You don't include Shadow Warrior Classic Redux. It is a different game from Shadow Warrior Classic Complete and doesn't replace the original one.
- You still count X Rebirth and X Rebirth Complete Edition as separate releases, even if the second one is nothing more than just the base game and the two DLCs. If the only reason you still include it, is because it has a different release date, then would you consider also including other bundles like Renowed Explorers and Don't Starve Alone?

Happy new year, as well.

Just for the statistics:

Releases in the year 2017 till now: 0
Very crappy year considering good old games.predicting 2017 to be even worse in that department

RottenRotz: Very crappy year considering good old games.predicting 2017 to be even worse in that department
My wishlist grew exponentially in a month so for me 2017 is a blast when it comes to oldies and the best part is that I'm rediscovering some classics *drumroll* already present in my games collection. Yikes.

True gems already in here, such as Imperium Galactica I AND II, Ignition, Lost Eden and its amazing score, Lucasarts games, Disney ones, Of Lifght and Darkness... (Pizza Tycoon included ;P) and yep, it's always hard to please everyone, if that's your goal, but they're surely pleasing this baby boy here - and tons of others.

I mean, we all know GOG will drop some oldie bombs this year but - and I quote - "I'm a patient man and ride my donkey"; also, bit tired of living for these little compulsions or call whatever you want.
It's a process, a daily one, hourly one. And yeah, I know I haven't been that patient in the forums in here but I'm doing my best. We gotta lear to tune that inner instrument, amigo.
