snowkatt: so far the release of games have been excellent

but the quality of the site and forums is declining ( both site and forum are technical clusterfuck of epic proportions )
and galaxy is barely working alpha pushed out because it is tied to the witcher 3
Pretty much my opinion too :) Games, releases, publishers all top notch, but the website and the forum are kind of in a down spiral I think :(
Mostly yay for me (thanks to the new releases), but I can't shake the feeling that we're being unwilling beta testers of the whole site (bugs on accounts and the forum).

Yay, of course, but only under certain conditions are met.

1) DRM-FREE will never break as a rule
2) Galaxy will remain forever OPTIONAL
3) New games or old ones exclusives to other distributors come here, NOW!

timppu: Like Valve buying out GOG.com and turning all the games in the account to Steam keys, :)
May that day never come

I could write a whole doomsday post here but I'll keep it short I guess. I think GOG as a business is going to do outstanding in the coming years. I just don't think it's going to still be the GOG that the playerbase that helped it become what it is wanted it to be. Which is ok for GOG as those are probably quickly becoming a minority of their customerbase anyway. (not due to them leaving but due to their growth being disproportional with GOG's)

So, Yay! for me since I feel competition is more interesting than holding on to some of those values.

If you give gamers what they want and stay out of the way it's endless cash. (Rockstar)

Don't, and it's the way of Team Ninja, Square Enix and countless other companies standing around asking wtf just happened.

So, stay out of gamers way Gog and give them what they want and you will increase and increase and then exponentially explode.

(They are saying they want Hatred and PM's back and being able to sort library. So do it.)
I think overall it's been a yay for me. The releases have been excellent, and I'm glad to finally see Galaxy out. I approve of the account changes overall too.

But that's not to say it perfect, the forums are a mess, website is buggy as hell, and Galaxy was rushed to get it out the door before the Witcher 3. GOG web developers are pretty bad in my opinion, how we can complain about the same issues months and months and have them go unfixed it shocking to say the least.
Overall very positive. Sometimes it feels like two steps forward and one step back, especially with Galaxy. But between the new games, publishers, and POTENTIAL, for Galaxy. Things are looking up I think :-)
