tfishell: That would be amazing if it is any of the Homeworld games, but I can't believe GOG wouldn't have hyped their release more! At least tweeted something like, "Something big happening Thursday." I'm still skeptical.

cyboff: If I understand it correctly from homepage, Homeworld Remastered Collection is coming in Autumn 2014, maybe we can get chance for pre-order, but not the release...

But something like "not in focus of media, but still 4x masterpiece" can be Galactic Civilizations II...
I could dig Galactic Civ 2; there are a reasonable amount of wishlist votes for it.

I don't think any release date for the games have been announced.

The homepage says that the estimated delivery date for the Collector's Edition physical items is early Autumn 2014, but that doesn't mean that the games can't be available in a regular edition sooner.

cmdr_flashheart: :O The code has been cracked.
Now that adambiser has explained the reasoning, I now think yours is the best explanation so far.

And this one is much less thin, and far fetched.

"The Homeworld Remastered Collection will soon be available for pre-order on leading PC digital platforms -- keep checking back for more updates and media!"
- for me it means no release anytime soon...

I didn't catch that sentence in the "Remastered" section. I doubt GOG would make a hint for a pre-order, so likely this isn't it.

But then, GOG does like to make announcements for announcements...
Hard Drivin' 4

Master Of The South-West

Hired Guns?

I assume the Remastered Collection will include copies of the originals? If not, then maybe releasing the originals and announcing the pre-order for the remastered?? This wouldn't make sense if the Remastered collection will also include the originals though.

But I do see places offer both classic and new HD remakes at the same time, see: Shadow Warrior.

OldFatGuy: I assume the Remastered Collection will include copies of the originals?
It does, yes. The two classic releases and their two HD remasters. I don't know if they'll be available separately.

Maybe they will and do like you said, but since the original image for this hint comes up for a Google image search of "HD master", I tend to think HD Remaster is the clue... 4 images might indicate a 4X game. But that ignores the whole focus/unfocused aspect.

That doesn't mean anything, though, GOG has games for pre-order at the moment.
What other 'HD' versions are missing?

MDK 2
Baulder's Gate 1 and 2
The Last Express
Serious Sam 1st and 2nd Encounter HD
realMyst Masterpiece Ed

Maybe its that last one because its like the HD is coming out of the mist (or 'Myst')?

I don't think a pre-order has ever been enigmatically hinted though - that would be a disappointment and a slow news week!

Really, even if it's Homeworld? I would count a Homeworld release on GOG as the end all, be all. Well, right next to the X games and any AAA title, but you get the picture :p

JinseiNGC224: Could it be Pegasus Prime? It's a remake, but it could still be considered a "remaster", correct?

Also, the pictures are going in a clockwise motion...time...time travel...??

It was also stated by the Pegasus Prime folks that late March might be the time, if everything went right, according to their Facebook.
Possible rationale for Pegasus Prime (straight from Outer Space):

The Alpha, Beta and Gamma stars of the Pegasus constellation, together with Alpha Andromedae, form a quadrilateral asterism known as the Square of Pegasus:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pegasus_(constellation)#Stars
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Pegasus_IAU.svg

And, according to the Oxford Thesaurus, prime is an adjectival synonym of master:

http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english-thesaurus/master

Not sure how the different quarters being in and out of focus figures in all this. It doesn't correlate with the relative brightnesses of the four stars. The highlighted third quarter corresponds to Gamma Pegasi, and gamma is the third letter of the Greek alphabet. Would this be the third release attempt of Pegasus Prime on GOG.com?

Well then that rules that out IMO.

Back to thin ice again.

jkiiskinen: Third Quarter is highlighted -> TQ -> Titan Quest.

Also, in Titan Quest character classes/professions are called "masteries".
I like the way you think :-)
Clearly the hint is the IDEs of March. ; )

Actually...
