Frankly, if I wanted to use steam I would just do so.

Crappy manga games like HATOFUL BOYFRIEND are all over steam. And not only that... when you hit the steam mainpage you're greated with a pile of shit first before you manage to get to the goodies. Nothing against indie games, but the amount of bullcrap on steam every day is one of the main reasons I'm not using their services anymore.

Will GoG share the same future if it gets more successful?
Hey man, I get the rage, but that stuff rakes in the $$$ these days. Everyone gotta hustle. Even GOG.

If you don't like it... fuck off somewhere else? No one is asking you to stay.

Hey, don't insult manga kay? Manga are just japanese comics, some of them are really good. You probably mean visual novels, while I have no prior experience with Hatoful Boyfriend I do not think removing an entire category of games because you don't like them is something any company would do. That's like saying, all 2d games should be removed which is also an idiotic statement. No one is forcing you to buy them.

TL;DR If there's shit on your way you can always walk around it.

There's plenty of people who would say that games from the 90s are old, outdated, crap and have no business being sold. Should GoG listen to them as well just because people happen to not enjoy them?

What on earth does it bother you if a harmless game like that is being sold? It doesn't appeal to me, it doesn't appeal to a lot of people, that doesn't mean that people who do enjoy it should have to scrabble around in the dirt to get it.

Yeah, I bet GOG would love to just sell niche games that don't make them any money, e.g. underdog RPGs like Baldur's Gate or Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, but unfortunately they also have to offer games with mass appeal, like pigeon-dating simulators. That's where all the money is these days. ;)

This kind of threads always amaze me. If you don't like a game don't buy it. There's no monopoly in the game industry, there are plenty of games for everyone and even on Steam you have enough ways to search for what you like (that if you're too lazy to open a new tab in your browser and do a wider search).
I wonder how many kids would click on the " buy " button if GOG release Goat Simulator for $3.99 . :p

I'd also grab it. Just because a game is not to your liking doesn't make it a bad game.

Don't worry . I would also buy a copy to my godson .
Has anyone actually looked at Goat Sim? While the presentation is rough I think the premise is fucking hilarious. It vaguely reminds me of Chicken Boo which is one of the greatest cartoons ever.
It's a great game for just messing around in and causing chaos for 10-15 min. Doesn't really stand up for prolonged periods of time imo, but hey, I didn't regret buying it.

This is reason enough to get it.
