P1na: If you mean "Can I play from steam with people who own the game in GOG", then it's planned to be so, yes. If you mean "I bought the game on steam, but want to play the GOG version" then obviously not.

Perhaps they're asking if they can use the Galaxy overlay with their Steam game?

cyberchief.979: I liked this game a lot when i first downloaded it illegally, and now i would like to have it for real. To both enjoy it, and test the new Galaxy client. If anyone has a code for this, i'll be very happy.
Hmm... that reminds me of something:

cyberchief.979: First, i'd like to say i'm sorry for pirating games (i've stopped now, and deleted the games i downloaded). Second, i'd like a copy of Empire Earth, and Heroes Of Might And Magic.

No there wasn't. That would imply we expected better.

Good point, I've changed it to 'sighing'.

Not that you'll read this cyberchief, but if you're that broke then why is it impossible for you to look for (legal) freeware/open source/pay what you want games?

There are a ton of games out there that are legally free and absolutely great, all you have to do is spend a few minutes searching Google with phrases like "open source games", or spending time digging through Itch.io.

Heck just today I found a great looking Minecraft clone that is open source and a really cool open source open world space game, both are legally free. Heck I wasn't even looking for free games, I just happened upon them when looking for open source software.

In the time it took you to log into GOG, click on "New thread" and then type up your post you probably could've found several legally free games. Would they have been "name brand" games? Probably not, but that wouldn't make them any less fun.

It's the same with music, instead of pirating music go spend an hour digging through Bandcamp and Jamendo and you'll come out with a lot of great music and as a bonus you won't even have to worry about the ominous black van (or the mail man).
