Capstone Techs (added 12/1)

- In the Age of Ascension, players can now research that provide large, temporary empire-wide bonuses. These techs can be researched repeatedly with stacking bonuses.

Optimization

- Memory: introduced new texture compression for planetary and ship textures to greatly reduce memory usage and dramatically improve startup times.
- Removed legacy stopwatch code from the sound system
- Moved old profiling junk
- Reduced CPU usage of the particles and main graphics threads
- Removed redundant debug output
- Multithreaded the texture loading at the start of game to improve performance.

AI

- AI builds scout ships later in the game to keep exploring very large galaxies
- Dramatically reduced AI >normal economic bonuses (no longer needs them)
- Re-designed the way the AI expands into the galaxy with colony ships so that its expansion no longer stalls on large maps
- Dramatically reduced the amount of time an AI will interact with a player if they are not within ship range
- AI doesn't try to bribe other players to go to war unless they and the other players have a decent military already
- AI will no longer give tech gifts to players with a different ideology (i.e. no more Drengin giving you tech if you're a nice person)
- AI now scales the number of similar ship projects based on number of colonies rather than a flat number
- AI pumps up colony ship production priority if there are a lot of nice planets laying around
- AI pumps out fewer Constructors in general
- Re-designed the way the AI determines which planets should get a shipyard to be more (way more) intelligent
- Updated AI's handling of adjacency bonuses to be more intelligent
- AI values planet quality more when picking planets to colonize
- AI somewhat more heuristic on tech research
- AI somewhat quicker to war
- Auto Surveying Survey Ships will now survey extra anomalies if the ship has extra movement points.

- Changed tutorials requiring an on-ranch action to hide themselves if you’re away from the ranch for 15 seconds.

- Changed the Slimepedia Vacpack tab to Tutorial and changed the entries to better mirror tutorial info.
- Added some new treasure pods to the world. One of them is amazing.
- Changed the colors of fill meters for the science resources.
- Adjusted the volume for some sounds including extractor working sounds.
- Added sound while the extractor is ready. The machines no longer dance in silence. Whoa, that sounded way more ominous than intended.
- Strange diamonds, royal jelly, and lava dust now randomly show up as Range Exchange rewards (rarely) after unlocking Slime Science.
- Tweaked rare drop rates on extractors to be slightly less rare.

Fixes:

- Fixed bug where slimes and resources could get stuck under the ranch porch.
- Fixed bug where some purchase buttons could be pressed via a gamepad while otherwise disabled.
- Fixed an issue where Xbox One controllers on some versions of Windows 10 were not properly recognizing actions on the DPad.
- Fixed bug where largos could be fired into or carried into walls in some situations.
- Fixed bug where slime would sometimes vibrate back and forth while trying to look a particular direction. We've switched the slimes to decaf.
- Fixed bug where the Range Exchange screen sometimes lost information at certain resolutions.
- Fixed bug where transition between far and near versions of slimes was less smooth than intended.
- Fixed bug where the red teleporter and warp depot were possible to unlock without acquiring the appropriate treasure pod.

That's my question too. The English and German installers also have been updated and there's no changelog entry for that. And the installers still differ so the language versions have not been merged into one multi-language installer.

MarkoH01: Since the original russian version afaik is a bit different I wonder if it really is only a language update.
While we were adding the Russian version, we updated the installers with some Galaxy-related tweaks related to importing the game into Galaxy, no more, no less :)

I can't tell you much because I don't know much. However wikipedia stated the following:

"Turgor — the initial Russian release, on April 17, 2008. This edition is available in the form of a two DVD jewel box, a gift edition and a digital download. The bonus disk contains a full soundtrack, all the trailers ever made for the game, Nikolay Dybowskiy's recordings from KRI, a game music video about Pathologic, and artwork from the game. Though this edition was only released in Russian, there is an official subtitle patch available from one of the developers.
Tension — the working English title of the game and the official title in Poland. The Polish edition included the game disk, a bonus disk with a part of the soundtrack, a user manual, an official walkthrough and an artbook. This edition doesn't include the bonuses from the Russian version. Includes the first patch.

The Void (German edition) — this is the westernized edition of the game released on March 28, 2009, that has major differences from the initial release, such as a completely re-written story. The bonus disk contains a re-mastered soundtrack with new tracks, all trailers except video footage from KRI, Pathologic game music video, and artwork.

The Void (English edition) — the same as the German edition with the second patch. "
