I've just logged in and I didn't have to prove I'm a robot. Is the captcha gone for good?

Pleasantly surprised that I was not asked to prove I'm not a robot when logging in just now.

So, was that a bug, or did GOG do away with it seeing that people didn't appreciate the hassle?

First time I've logged on in several days. No coincidence. Zero communication from GOG if it was intentional, temporary or anything at all. Unlike the redeem page, the damn login doesn't even show it's trying to use a reCaptcha (saw the "solution" the first day). You make it sufficiently annoying then I just stop regularly showing up.

The newest Witcher 3 update broke the additional language for Blood and Wine (language pack is not in the library but is not included in the install version of the expansion either). Also after uninstalling the expansion and reinstalling it through the newest backup installer the whole game was deleted from the GAlaxy list - I had to import it again.

well , according to one post in the subforum of the game :

https://www.gog.com/forum/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt/blood_and_wine_dlc_131_dialogue_audio_missing/post33

obviously you need to install the extra language pack AFTER all DLC were installed.

there are still some others issues ;

Congratulation GOG / CDRP..... :[

I think maybe that's why they never put out a changelog or made any public comment about it, they knew it was broken and are probably working on a fix and figured there would be less noise if they focused on fixing it than talking about it. That's my guess anyway, but some communication would certainly be nice.

A post cost very little time , and avoid many inquiries.... but it's still a problem for GOG : communication.

Also, they have to maintain 2 concurrent offline installers, it's just extra work , instead to have only one and i start to wonder if they don't mix up sometimes with scripts ....

Just in general, did it ever appear to you that GOG needed a specific reason to NOT communicate?

OMG now I will have to redownload the base game language pack as well because theyx decided to include ALL DLC language in it? Who is responsible for this stupid thinking? Either give us an all in one installer (GOTY) or three seperate installers but not such a mix.
Still no communication from GOG whatsoever on the undocumented Witcher 3 file size changes and multi-language issues.

When you contacted them?

They are usually slower at weekends.

Not only is it back, but from the reply I got from GOG Support, one week after I submitted my inquiring ticket, it's here to stay for security reasons:
Hello,

I am very sorry for not being able to get back to you sooner.

Please note that we were using Google reCaptcha on our service for a long time. Now we require users to solve Google reCaptcha on every log in to further increase security of our service. We want to make our website as user friendly as possible. Although, we can't compromise on security.

If you want to leave feedback or suggestions, please create a wish on our Community Wishlist - http://www.gog.com/wishlist - and we will do our best to fulfil them.

Also, please note that you can solve audio-based reCaptcha, instead of the standard image-based one, if you prefer to. To do so, simply click on headphones icon in the bottom-left corner of the reCaptcha window.

Best regards,
XXXX

So if this makes gog so secure I wonder why I don't have to do this stupid captcha thing on any other website which are surely not less secure than this. Annoying -.-
