The most haunted night of the year draws near, and we’re getting ready for it at GOG. Beware – you’re in for some scary fun! We’re taking you on a weird adventure full of creepy creatures lurking in the dark, but don’t worry, as we’re also treating you to more than 1200 deals, new releases, and recommendations from the team!

· The Shore (-40%)
· Just Cause 1 (-75%)
· Just Cause 2 - Complete Edition (-75%)
· Tormented Souls (-10%)
· Agony

The above list of spooky stories is just a fraction of the Halloween theme on GOG. Expect more eerie and frightening games coming this week!

· Elvira’s Horror Bundle (-10%)
· Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (-50%)
· Mundaun (-30%)
· Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace (-50%)
· Gamedec (-10%)
· The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt GOTY (-80%)
· Diablo + Hellfire (-15%)
· GRIME (-15%)
· Phantasmagoria (-35%)
· BloodRayne: Terminal Cut (-35%)

We know that going on such spooky and creepy adventures alone is not an easy feat. That’s why a few of the GOG team members have decided to join you on this trip by preparing their own game recommendations that you can find among the well-known Halloween collections:

· Check the collections from GOG Team members, where they share their favorite horror games
· In the Tricks collection, you’ll find all the scary titles
· The Treats collection offers you more cute and funny titles
· The Scariest Discounts collection features the Halloween Sale’s best deals.
· The Bestellers collection features GOG's all-time hits.

Join the creepy Halloween Sale adventure from GOG before the creatures scurry back into the dark on November 3rd, 2021, at 2 PM UTC, when the sale ends.
Why is Agony Unrated not available for Germany? That game has not been banned here.
Hmm guys I've been thinking 'bout getting some ultra "no horny/bonk!" new release but I'm a bit undecided: should I pick agony unrated, evenicle, the smurfs mission vileaf or subverse? :P

Anime-BlackWolf: I have problems putting the "Agony OST DLC" into the cart. Even without region blocking. Is the link broken?
avatar
SCPM: There's two versions of the soundtrack, which one you can access depends on your region. One of the following checkout links should work:
https://www.gog.com/game/agony_soundtrack
https://www.gog.com/game/agony_soundtrack_copy3

https://www.gog.com/checkout/manual/1438925691
https://www.gog.com/checkout/manual/1264965781
But why are there two versions of the soundtrack? Does one of the two have any extra tracks?

MaxFulvus: Just Cause 1 & 2 released for Halloween Sale ? Weird choice, but why not ?
Wishlisted for now, zombies and cosmic horrors ate my wallet !
Worth noting that, iirc, the one distant island on JC2 has a horror vibe :)

From what I can tell, the track lists are the same. I think it's just to overcome the limitation of having two different products with the same DLC content.
Wow, so many new releases, really glad for Agony UNRATED + Just Cause 1+2, here´s hoping 3+4 will show here as well :)

Instabuy + thank you :)

Agony + Agony UNRATED
which makes the following link valid:

:)
Ah, so again... GOG needs to fix it :D
Thank you GOG, Square Enix, Madmind, etc.! My one change/request would have been a free game higher up on the wishlist; if it had to be halloween-themed, Halloween Harry or Dreamweb. Simcity 1, OMF2097, Warzone 2000, Starcraft + Broodwar, Lost Vikings, Death Rally, Railroad Tycoon 1, etc. (I understand legal issues are involved of course)

I'll at least be getting Just Cause 1 because tbh I pirated a copy years ago.

And I'm glad you brought Agony for those who wanted it.

Also,

I'd recommend Evenicle because it is a legitimate 62 hour JRPG with a battle system similar to Dragon Quest. But it has a lot of rape, which several people are not crazy about here.

Agony is very confusing. Though it had some sexual elements, I found it very frustrating and gave up on it quickly.

The Smurf's mission does look very fun. Reminds me of Crash, Spyro or some other 3D platformer. It is on the easy side though and quite expensive off sale at $30 USD. It is not currently on sale.

Subverse is not finished yet. It combines shmup elements with an SRPG, but fails in it's very boring H scenes. I was not all that pleased with it, it needs much more time in the oven.

So there you go.

Right, that makes sense.

If Just Cause 2 really has no trace of DRM measure anymore, then thats mighty impressive for both Avalanche and GOG. After the HITMAN 2016 "debacle" I felt a bit bad about the future of GOG, but seeing what could be considered the most infamous example of DRM finally on this store gives me tons of hope and it also proves that GOG simply just didn't fully knew about the extend of DRM-measures in HITMAN.

In case you didn't know, just a friendly reminder that Just Cause 2 is one of the most well known examples of terrible DRM and for many this game was simply unplayable because of it. Just use the internet archive to read comments, this stuff wasn't pretty. Even after Just Cause 2 had an unofficial multiplayer mode some people still remembered this stuff and refused to even consider this game a video game.

I am 100% sure that there were even discussions taking place on here during mid 2010 talking about it. I became interested in DRM free gaming because of how many people talking badly about the DRM-measures taken in Just Cause 2. Which makes getting rid of DRM entirely even more commendable. If that really is true and Just Cause 2 can be played freely now then phenomenal Job. I hope thats people who wouldn't touch the game ever remember, because I certainly do.

So with that written down, thank you so much Avalanche and GOG for finally "freeing" the first two games in the Just Cause series! I am really hopeful that we will be seeing more games with very terribly applied DRM measures finally being "freed" now.

Since gog has released another edgelord game plus a bunch of AO titles (well, in most territories), now would be a good time to finally fulfill some 5000 votes on the wishlist and release the great granddaddy of edgelord games. If anything, Hatred is a waaaaaaaay better game than Agony.

If nobody has mentioned it before, the manuals for Just Cause and Just Cause 2 can be found here:

You know, it never fails, every time GoG has a big sale there's always a surprise big-ticket release that came from left field! I never thought in a million years we'd get the Just cause series; thanks for the acquisition GoG!

Another two titles to add to the de-steamed pile!

TheGrimLord: Don't jinx me on this, but I have noticed something. Every time GOG has a major sale, we always get a hot property like Just Cause and then Tomb Raider before that. I personally don't have a problem with this because now I'm anticipating the Holiday sale!
Holy shit I posted the exact same thing before I read this!
