BlueMooner: Apologies for suggesting the obvious, but you've looked online already? For the first one, I found this:

https://www.oldgames.sk/en/game/7th-guest-the/download/1426/

...which has a manual and strategy guide. No idea if they're the precise file you want. I don't have any of the games you list, so sorry for your dead drive, wish you luck in getting the copies you're looking for.

mrkgnao: I'm looking for these specific files primarily because they are a part of GOG history which I would like to preserve, not because I really need what's in those zip files in order to enjoy the games. For example, the 7th guest manual that you link is still available as a GOG goodie in our libraries, but the smaller and less interesting help sheet is not.
Any chance you'll ever create a repository for other GOGers to access these "lost goodies"?

I'm not sure about making it a public repository open to all, including people who don't own the games, but I have no problem with assisting those who do own specific games but miss the lost goodies for these games, on an individual basis. If you are one such, please contact me via chat.

I did have something like that on the bay, before. But i lost access to it, thanks to the previous, leftist goverment. Early goodies (ex the witcher 3 preorder exclusive ones) and even, games removed from gog and that they haven't returned (most probably, won't ever, like Blade of Darkness).

Nice reminder, maybe i 'll have to dig out my stash and work something out with MEGA.

And no yapping; GOG=lesser steam, "you buy it you keep it" died and retroactive removal of legally purchased content is a thing!

Of course. It seems you're more active on the forums now and already making positive contributions. Hope you stay here long after the covid-19 situation clears. I appreciate your presence here.

Thank you. I was indeed more active for a while, but now --- with GOG's recent moves --- I expect I'll be crawling back into the woodwork. MaGog is scheduled to be removed on 1 January 2021.
Have you tried sending a support ticket?

Usually they are good at at least providing some form of response, even if not a satisfactory one.

No, thank you.

Anyhow, the community has been very helpful. Fifteen out nineteen goodies in one day is a lot better than I had expected. And I'm still hopeful about the remaining four.

I just need the right person, one who bought LEGO Harry Potter 5-7 and/or LEGO Batman early on, to read this thread.

mrkgnao:
Good luck. I did download LEGO Harry Potter close enough to when they came out, however, I don't believe that I ever downloaded the goodies.

Unfortunate that these have been removed.

mrkgnao: Two weeks ago, my external HDD died and I lost all my GOG backups. Since I had only one copy, it's all gone.
Do you still have the dead external HDD?

Sometimes you can revive an external HDD by opening the case and use a new enclosure, example:

https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-2-5-inches-SATA-Drive-Enclosure/dp/B01N5RLG2C

There are also docking stations.

Thanks a lot. I'll look into it, as I indeed still have the HDD.
