I've acquired a bit of a backlog by now, and at the moment I can't really play a lot, so there's not much to be done about that...
Generally I'm also planning on buying fewer games, which might also allow me to spend a bit more per game :)
Most importantly I think I have to just be more decisive and quit games I'm really not enjoying, permanently. For example I got the whole Still Life series during some promo or other, started to play Post Mortem (a couple of times) and always stopped again because I really didn't like it. But it always ends up on the "play later" pile, daring me to play it...
There's a couple of games like that, I know they are just not for me, and I should just dump them forever.

snowkatt: so what are you gonna do about your backlog if anything
Rather playing something I didn't already finish an umptious amount of times, preferably something I aborted some time ago, but also stuff I haven't played yet.

I've got a few hundreds of games in my backlog from extremely different decades and different genres, but since all this Steam on Humble Bundle and all this regionally pricing bs on GoG, my backlog is actually shrinking now.
Not being tempted to buy so much anymore helps defeating the backlog.

My backlog? Well, if i wont grow any wiser, i certainly will have something to keep myself busy when i eventually retire. If such system even exists in my older days that is.

Ghorpm: Having too few games - sure, I get it, but having many games?
See, when you have too few games the old Polish rule applies (which I learned on my first day at the University of Warsaw):
If you don't have what you like, you like what you have.

Now if you want to play Bioshock: Infinite but only have Dishonored - okay, play and enjoy Dishonored!
Now if you have BOTH Bioshock: Infinite and Dishonored, that's when you're screwed!
