We have a thread for games finished and for games quit, so why not one for those games that you've grown tired of but plan on returning to in the future?

To start the thread off: Red Faction. It's a great game, a whole lot of fun, but I'm getting bored with it and rather than force myself to play it just to finish it I'm just going to put it back on my digital shelf for a while until I actually want to play it again.
Hard Reset: i want to finish it, but i just keep uninstalling it. it's not bad, though, it's good.
Legend of Grimrock.

Too hard, and I suck. I need to re-start on "easy" mode but I'm too annoyed about it to do it now. I'll wait a while for the sting of defeat to lessen.
I do that reasonably often. I've just recently got back into Borderlands 1 and finished it. There are still the expansions to go though.

It took me years to get back to Divine Divinity and finish it, I think I was halfway through the game and had done pratically every side quest available until that point.

I've yet to get back into Realms of the Haunting and finish it too. It's been years already. :(

And Broken Sword 4.
Oh dear...there are far too many of these for me. Their desktop shortcuts sitting there defiantly, mocking me, with me being "Yeah, I'm going to finish that at one point, no need to uninstall it.

The Witcher 1 and 2 (sorry! :P)
The Legend of Grimrock (same as with yogsloth, at one point it just gets too hard, and a littl repetitive)
FTL (still haven't beat the game even once yet)
Deus Ex (although I keep having a go at it off and on)
Darksiders (got a little bored when more interesting stuff came along)
Sniper Elite V2 (got bored of this too when something more interesting came along)
Dungeon Siege, I've been on and off again with this game for near *looks at watch* ten years. I loaded it back up a few weeks go, and it is making me feel like I've never played a video game before. Sad thing is, when I first played it I thought it was waaaay too easy. sigh.
AHAHAHAHAHA!

This happens so often.

Tales of Symphonia on multiple occasions.
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
Tales of the Abyss.
Radiata Stories.
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.
Shenmue.
Final Fantasy X.

All of these are excellent games, usually the thing that causes me to put them on hiatus is a frustrating boss or corrupted save data.

Hahaha, glad to see I'm not the only one! I like the game too, just ugh, is there an end to it? In my newest play through, I got to the first main town, but I just can't get my group to cooperate. I should probably just look up the manual.

Maybe I will come to the Netherlands to live out my geriatric bliss and we can play together :) lol
Hahaha, I forgot about how annoying the jackass is.
In theory, I have numerous games in this category, but I'm not fooling myself--most of the games that I "temporarily" quit end up staying quit. I guess the current exception would be the Dragon Quest VI DS remake and Wild Arms 2 (on the Playstation Network), which I pretty much definitely am going to come back to; I only quit them because it was a busy time and I didn't have time to be missing around with two RPGs.
I'm possibly planning on continuing, or even restarting Witcher 2 sometime on Christmas. I have also put on hold Alien vs Predator Classic 2000, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Sacred Gold and Summoner.
I do this to almost every RPG I have ever played, usually due to lack of time, but some I really want to come back to are:

Wild Arms 3(I always forget what I'm doing if I don't play it for a while and just start over)
Wizardry 7(So hard...)
Parasite Eve(I still haven't finished the book, either)
Any Final Fantasy(But I did finish the first one!)
So many these days.. I lost my playful nature somewhere along the way, lately.. Been on and off anything I play, nothing to spark genuine interest.. Hmm..

Some names.. KotOR 2 but I am really not interested anymore to finish it, just kept the save in case.. One Finger Death Punch which is really awesome, "but" very long. The Witcher 2 currently, I play a few hours every few days and am set to keep playing until I'm done, for now.
