As announced back in July we have plenty of classics from Electronic Arts on its way, so stay tuned to GOG.com and give yourself a trip down memory lane!

ZapMcRaygunn: @andrewmclaughlin, wow! That was an excellent prediction. Thank you for being accurate with this one, because I hoped for WC3 but really did not expect it. It was a really nice surprise.
Thanks alot Friend. My jaw was on the floor when i seen it up there as the final title in the EA Classics. WC 3 has been at the top of my list for a long long time now. About 15 years now. I felt they were hinting about more wing commander in addition to 1 & 2 but the way it was worderd... had me all confused and I was kind of disapointed so i left a comment sayin what the heck ? I really didn't think they would release this one with the other titles in the ea classics for some strange reason. EA owns ALL Origin games now to the best of my knowlage so if you like WC 1,2 and 3 be sure to check out all the other Origin Flight Sims

Titles Like

1. Strike Commander
2. Pacific Strike
3. Privateer
4. Wings of Glory
5. Wing Commander Prophecy
6. Wing Commander 4

I Truly belive that gog will have these titles on here eventually as EA owns Origin Entirely.

WC 3 has been known to be the best Full Motion Video Game ever produced ! Now that gog has that in their libray... A lot of people are going to gog and starting accounts. A Whole Mess of em. Just wait til word gets out ! Well done gog. Well done.

Thanks for the support Zap !

P.S I got my copy of Tie Fighter CD to work on my windows 7 quad-core. It was quite an ordeal i can tell you but I got it runnin perfect. If i can get that thing to run it should be a snap for gog. Hopefully gog will put that one up in the near future

ZapMcRaygunn: More Wing Commander would be nice, or something completely out of left field may also be interesting (Archon anyone?) Of course the Complete Ultima VII would be fantastic, but seeing as we've already been given a veritable feast of Ultima delights, a wait until the next group of EA Classics would be ok too, as it will give us time to replay the first six in preparation. As for Command and Conquer, that seems unlikely since it would go against what GOG stands for. GOG provides classics at excellent prices, but technically $5.99 for any standalone C&C would technically be more expensive than picking up the game from EA as they still have the "First Ten Years" pack for sale in which the individual games come out to far less than $5.99 each in the set. Of course Dune II (The predecessor to C&C) would be nice, at would Dune 2000. In case anyone's wondering, Westwood did a terrible game called Dune for Virgin in which players sat through digitized movies and occasionally got to do something. Oddly enough, Virgin let them do Dune II, which they quietly released. Dune II was not at all like Dune (the first game) in fact, it ended up not only being excellent, but permanently changing the face of computer gaming by being the first major RTS. If computer game history is one of the tenets of GOG, let it be Dune II.
Hit the nail on the head with that one friend. lol yeah i remember that dune game where almost nothing happens for hours on end. I could not for the life of me figure out how the combat worked. Yeah that was a very crappy game. The clips from the 1984 movie was the only cool thing about it.

Tygracek: Dune (one) definitely WASN´T terrible game. It was an interesting mix of adventure and strategy.
I bought the game too because it was dune after all and i was a big fan of the movie and Frank Herbert's books. If i were to give the game a score i would probobly given it a 4 out of 10. This game was far ahead of its time with fully voiced audio. The charecters were done well and it had clips from the movie which was a new thing at the time, but apart from there was nothing else that i liked about the game. The combat was where the game fails. I could not for the life of me, figure out how to win in combat. were you able to figure out how to wage war in that game ? If so, than you are a better gamer than I
Thank you so much for putting up Wing Commander III

Hello, of course, to win the combat was quite easy. You have to train some fremens as soldiers, than to give them equipment (krispels, laserguns, modules or atomic weapons in the later phase of the game), then move them to the sietch which was close to your target fortress. And then let them attack. Good idea is to train fremens with most amout of people.
When you attack with all six units (=the full sietch, you can have maximal 6 units in one sietch) on Harkonnen fortress which is usually defended by one or two units (the strongest by three) they have no chance.

Well done. If i was able to fully understand the mechanics of game play, i think it would have rated it a lot higher. The game did have alot of good things going for it so if you could master the gameplay to tie it all togeather, than it makes for a good game as a whole.

The best Dune game i have ever played was " Emperor - Battle for Dune. An awesome Live Action 3D Real Time Strategy game with the best music i have ever heard in any game. Check it out if you can find it
