We're proud to present you the next batch of classics straight from Electronic Arts' deep back catalogue of acclaimed franchises. With today's announcement we're releasing more from the two series that launched EA catalogue on GOG.com - Dungeon Keeper 2 and Wing Commander 1+2. But that's not all! 6 more great games are coming soon to GOG.com's ever growing catalogue of awesome games from the yesteryear, in the coming weeks. As announced back in July we have plenty of classics from Electronic Arts on its way, so stay tuned to GOG.com and give yourself a trip down memory lane!
If that last classic is Alien Crossfire, gog will be my hero. You want to be a hero, don't you gog?

Meh...
I would not mind completing some oldschool C&C
Wing Commander 3 and 4. please
More Wing Commander would be nice, or something completely out of left field may also be interesting (Archon anyone?) Of course the Complete Ultima VII would be fantastic, but seeing as we've already been given a veritable feast of Ultima delights, a wait until the next group of EA Classics would be ok too, as it will give us time to replay the first six in preparation. As for Command and Conquer, that seems unlikely since it would go against what GOG stands for. GOG provides classics at excellent prices, but technically $5.99 for any standalone C&C would technically be more expensive than picking up the game from EA as they still have the "First Ten Years" pack for sale in which the individual games come out to far less than $5.99 each in the set. Of course Dune II (The predecessor to C&C) would be nice, at would Dune 2000. In case anyone's wondering, Westwood did a terrible game called Dune for Virgin in which players sat through digitized movies and occasionally got to do something. Oddly enough, Virgin let them do Dune II, which they quietly released. Dune II was not at all like Dune (the first game) in fact, it ended up not only being excellent, but permanently changing the face of computer gaming by being the first major RTS. If computer game history is one of the tenets of GOG, let it be Dune II.

Dune (one) definitely WASN´T terrible game. It was an interesting mix of adventure and strategy.

Also, Command and Conquer was released for free a few years back. GOG would pretty much have to give it away, which I know they do on occasion, but it would be some time until they would be able to claw back some money from it.

The official EA announcement has vanished since, but some other sites still have it on record:

http://www.shacknews.com/article/48749/free-download-of-command-conquer - Tiberium Dawn
http://news.bigdownload.com/2010/02/13/download-command-and-conquer-classic-games-full-free-games/ - Tiberium Dawn, Red Alert, Tiberium Sun
http://kotaku.com/5471158/three-original-command--conquer-games-are-now-free - Kotaku announcement

Etc.

Might still see them, but until they have a version they can sell (Red Alert 2, Command and Conquer 3 and onwards), I doubt it. On the other hand, we will probably see them as freebies attached to other games.

.

I'm not sure it it may like a newer ddfix.
Thanks for this! That got SS2 running smoothly.

Back on topic, I'm holding out hope for a few more Westwood titles in the next release cycle. A Kyrandia bundle, Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos and Blade Runner would be quite welcome.

Blade Runner is probably Rights Clearance Hell though.

As has been said numerous times, SS/SS2 and Syndicate are locked up thanks to rights and ownership issues. Alice is bundled with Madness Returns, so slim chance of that happening, IMO.

I wouldn't mind seeing a few of the underrated Sid Meier games released here. SimGolf (the 2001 version) and Civil War Collection (if that is still owned by EA) would be grand additions to the catalog.

Undying seems to be a good candidate as well.
@andrewmclaughlin, wow! That was an excellent prediction. Thank you for being accurate with this one, because I hoped for WC3 but really did not expect it. It was a really nice surprise.

I THOUGHT that was the one he was referring to... didnt know they finally got it working with 7 64bit though :)
The final Ultima Trilogy please! (7, 8 and 9).

Also, Wing Commander 4 and Wing Commander Prophecy Gold (GOld contained WC: Secret Ops)

Keep up the great work. I LOVE GOG!
