We're proud to present you the next batch of classics straight from Electronic Arts' deep back catalogue of acclaimed franchises. With today's announcement we're releasing more from the two series that launched EA catalogue on GOG.com - Dungeon Keeper 2 and Wing Commander 1+2. But that's not all! 6 more great games are coming soon to GOG.com's ever growing catalogue of awesome games from the yesteryear, in the coming weeks. As announced back in July we have plenty of classics from Electronic Arts on its way, so stay tuned to GOG.com and give yourself a trip down memory lane!
I am not really dissapointed. That is pretty much their standard pace and I am used to it by now.

However I would sign a petition at any time asking for less enthusiastic PR. It regularly promises more than it can keep and that only will end in frustration and tears. Not a good way to keep a friendship... ts, ts.
Just want to add something. I know I can be an ass sometimes, but it's important that we customers see the good in the bad.

Wing Commander 1 + 2 is not bad at all. The PR just got some of us in the sore spot, that's all.

I was just viewing My Account page and all the great games I was able to get through GOG I would have gotten via abandonware sites, most of them with virus (yes, 90% have virus) and with NO EXTRA content like Manuals or concept art.

It's great. Specially on the adventure classics side. I just forgot for a second where I was.

Sorry about that.
I'm not exactly angry myself, but I wouldn't give someone a "get home free" card just because it's their standard practice to BS their customers!

GOG, I *want* to like you. Why do you insist making it hard?
..........sigh i was hoping for a better ea title......nvm
*stores the excitement for later release hopefully

I guess this means it's better to BS all the time than just once or twice. O_o
IMO the games released today don't quite cut it.
I love Wing Commander and Dungeon Keeper 2 but I think my money would be better spent on Privateer (which, I heard, has infinity replayability) and DK1.
First I was excited for the releases.

Then I was slightly disappointed by the number of releases.

Then I was relieved, as my PayPal account's hurting at the moment. ;)

Looking forward to more releases...

you can pirate every game there is old and new, so not sure what you mean here.

so DK2 is broken from what i hear? what about Wing Commander?
You guys are weird.

What's wrong with this PR? I wasn't even aware there is a PR in this, just an announcement...
And today you got 10th most requested game from the wanted list. Is this not enough?
Make EA bring Command & Conquer: The First Decade!
Please Space Huuuuuuulk !! Pleaaaaaase !!! I want to play this one once more.

I mean that if it wasn't for GOG, I would have my PC full of virus and no extra content for those great games. Pirating is wrong, and I mean they have a great deal of legitimate software here to download.

I think what I wanted to point is that I was whining too much over nothing. Even if it was some screwy PR stunt, there's no way that could ruin what they have giving us so far.

gplayersv: I haven't played any of these games, and I never will. Maybe it's because I'm too young (26) and certainly it's also because of the graphics.
I'm only 21 and I've already played the first three Wing Commander games. Of course I haven't played one for at least five years or so now but I'll be glad to get started again with the first two and try Privateer for the first time. Trust me when I say you're only hurting yourself by avoiding these games, old PC titles may have a steeper learning curve when compared to modern console games but the rewards are far greater. I fail to see what one's age or the games' visual fidelity has to do with it though.

Arteveld: Crusader: No Regret is the last one.

And the purplish one [#5] would be Lands Of Lore.
Oh yes, I can definately see No Regret there now that you mention it!
GOG, can you somehow convince EA to let you comment on the expansion pack issue? Releasing Wing Commander 1 and 2 in a bundle with no expansions feels strange and petty, much more than releasing 1 and 2 separately but with expansions. Lack of expansions is bound to put a lot of people off buying the EA classics, which is the last thing the games need after spending so much time in a vault.

Oh, you did. Never mind!
