pH7: Thank you for answering these tough questions =)
There are a few games that stand out more than others, like Psychonauts, Planescape: Torment, Fallout, Baldur's Gate, Deus Ex etc, but there's no "winner" - there are simply too many awesome games here. Which is kind of the result I expected.
So, why even bother asking? Thing is, according to my numbers I've gifted 99 games here on GOG (including some for the upcoming advent event), and now I'm thinking about making the 100th game something special. But, alas, half the games on GOG are special in their own right, so I'm having trouble picking one.
Any ideas or suggestions for a game "worthy" of being the 100th game gifted?
lugum: jack orlando for president ! oh wait, wrong topic :p
if you want to celebrate epic, you should celebrate with an epic game the witcher 2.
deus ex is godly, there is something to say for every game, and all are worthy..
Witcher 2 is definitely on the short list - it's one of my favourites (although the story etc from Witcher 1 using the Witcher 2 engine etc would be even better) and because of the price tag, not a game 'everyone' has already bought. Then again, it's the price tag..
Believe it or not, I still haven't got around to actually play Deus Ex; there never seem to be enough time for more complex games. Currently I'm playing one of the expansions of HoMM5, and it's been running for 48+ hours, mostly minimized, while I've played for a total of maybe 30 minutes.. I have no reason to belive Deus Ex is any less epic than it's said to be, though.
Sacrifice was part of my very first order I placed here at GOG (along with Commandos 2+3 - another awesome game in my opnion, but a game that's probably not everyone's 'cup of tea'), but I don't think I've actually completed it yet (nor have I completed Commandos 3 for that matter). A great game regardless.
Baldur's Gate 2 is of course another candidate one simply can't ignore - at least for those of us who love RPGs. There are only a handful of other RPGs that can compete with BG2 for the title of most awesome RPG ever, but the majority of those games are also on GOG..
I hate making tough choices..
Edit:
Maybe I'll just pick 'Sensible Soccer 2006' and be done with it?

just remove the text you don't want to be quoted, just make sure the [ quote ] and [ /quote ] tags pair up.
