As long as GOG focuses on re-releasing classic games and indie titles I'll keep coming back.
The day they start prioritizing contemporary AAA games I'd have less reasons to visit the site.
However there's such an abundance of old PC games worthy for re-release and good indie titles being made.

rampancy: For Thea, it's another frustrating case of GOG not seeing enough demand. I voted in the Wishlist entry for it, and I hope you can make more people interested in it too.
People keep saying that Thea has been rejected and I've managed to completely miss it. Would you have a link to where it's actually stated?

To be honest, I've simply just taken the OP at his word, but I've also seen people on the Wishlist thread saying that GOG has actually rejected it too. Most likely the developer gave them that info on the Steam forums or on Twitter/email. I myself say that it's a case of not enough demand, but I have to use the disclaimer that I'm only saying that based on past experience with games that people like Barry_Woodward have tried to champion on GOG in the past.
My two cents...

I understand where the OP is coming from, as I'm not really thrilled about GOG nowadays. I'm a collector, so I buy most of the games offered by GOG, whenever I consider the price to be adequate -as I'm not really going play most of them-. The ones that I might, though, are point&click adventure games, puzzle platformers, classic old school rpgs -if only they weren't so long- and some indie games I might consider interesting. Therefore, I'm into preservation, and not really into comercial standard gameplay.

So all the rejection information, and the fact that my preferred genre is too niche for gog, means they don't cater to my needs anymore. Which is kind of disheartening. And unfortunately it's my impression that it's all a consequence of the recent comercial success of the store, with witcher3 and all the new users that brought and are more into new comercial games, and the betthesda games. Yes, GOG is a business, but I don't think earning lots of money was the purpose behind it; as the DRM-Free model + old classic games were never going to get them there. And I've always been happy to consider them champions of game preservation. But maybe the business plan is shifting.

All in all, the bottom line is that I was happier when it was up the companies that games were missing, as there was always the possibility of being released here at a later time. But when GOG themselves are not interested in the games you want, well, that's a different matter altogether. I can't just imagine the amount of backlash that would show up had they rejected the "beloved" bethesda games. Many people would have probably left GOG altogether because of that. Some other people might feel that way about some other games...
Let me see what's going on here...
