Gunsang: Sounds like a weekend in Colorado. Seriously, so many micro-breweries; how's the micro-brewery scene in Quebec?
Pretty nice from what I see at beer festivals.
More beer! Beeeeeer!
Everyone: I'm drinking a "Screwdriver". I'm not normally a fan of mixed drinks, but this is alright; who else has had this?

Also: This is a great drunk song, as in, it's fun and irreverent.

Yeah, Quebec seems like a place that would have a good micro-brewery scene. Never been there myself, but from what I hear, it seems like one of those places. I always hear great things about Montreal, too.

Also, kinda the opposite of your dream: My old housemate used to manage a pub/micro-brewery, but the main owner was incompetent. It was bad enough that the other owners tried to buy him out, in order to get a rid of him.

Something with pirates. Sea Dogs, POTC, Pirates! or Corsairs. Anything with pirates.

Any GOOD pirate games to play with rum...? :)
Oh man it's kinda too late perhaps to do a proper survey on the net, gonna finish this glass, hit a 2 hour work gig a bit dazed and come back home and see what happens :)

edit: just to be clear... no driving of a motored vehicle involved

I like to drink and drive on Mondays.

The traffic is so slow, no one notices.

It was Staropramen. If uncertain about what beer brand I want when shopping I default to that. :)

Now I don't have much money left this month so a cheap bag in box wine it is. Alcohol is alcohol.

Oh noes, Staropramen was the cheap beer that is served to the tourists in Praque, I remember this one, it tastes about as bad as the beer from Köln and Bonn and that's more or less piss.

Maybe I'm just spoiled due to all those countless excellent German and eastern European brands.

Where you from? No seriously. For example USA imported Budweiser (Yeah the USA variant.) taste like, well, nothing BUT the one we can buy in shops here in Sweden is actually not all that bad. That's because the ones we buy here are made by a licensed brewery in Great Britain. Big brands do not taste the same all over the world.

Try the Age of Pirates games. They're made by the same team that did Sea Dogs. Bit buggy, but still fun if you can get them patched up and running.

I'm from Germany but drank the real Staropramen directly in the Czech Republic.
Czech Republic has the most awesome dark beer you can get though, but I always was a sucker for the really dark stuff anyway (the sweet kind excluded).
I agree the relabeled stuff is confusing, the Budweiser you get in Germany is not that bad either although there's enough better stuff out there. Since I'm antialcoholic for many years now my experiences are a bit dated, I'm focusing on 0% beer now and am glad that there is a variety of those by now, at least somewhere.

Is Staropramen also made in Sweden or is it a real import?

Staropramen in Swedish shops are imported from Czech Republic so I gather it's from the original brewery. I've also drunk it in Prague.
Though I agree "local" Czech brands are way better. Mostly I think because I'm a fan of unfiltered beers and those are hard to come by in Sweden. The ones I've tasted have just the sweet spot between ordinary and dark beer.
I'm generally not that fond of dark beer because I don't like bitter taste in beer. If it is bitter it better be really dark though. Dark and full. :)
