I see some seemingly lonely indie puppies looking at me with their big sad eyes, and I feel compassionate enough to offer them shelter, but there are several of them and I don't want to deny them the chance of possibly finding a more attentive owner than myself, with all those dogs already in my care. However, I'm not in a hurry and could wait a few more more months, if there's still any hope for them. Anyway, those puppies are called:

FWIW - the 20 or so "V" bonus levels in gemcraft are more like puzzles than straight tower defense, since there are a very limited number of strategies that can beat them and there's quite a bit of trial and error (or googling for youtube spoilers) to beat them.

Unlike other levels you also play them without any of the benefits of leveling up/improving your talisman.
